I am interested to listen to Katie live (I'm going to one of the shows) - I always thought she had an interesting tone to her voice and could be good with the right song - if she can learn to control her erratic performance. I won't say I am a fan but I was never one of the haters.

Just want to balance out the snide and patronising posts from the Matt Cardle Hen Party by referring true Katie fans to the Guardian's review of the XF tour show in Dublin—which rates Katie and Rebecca above Matt as singers.

I was not being snide at all - I was actually saying what I thought - that I may not be her biggest fan - but I do like the tone in her voice.

nothing snide nor patronizing here (couldn't say the same about your post!)... I was simply pleased to see that Katie had such a dedicated fan in AnaIulya, and such dedication should be recognized

I would also like to know what AnaIulya likes so much about Katie to go through all that trouble to see her live

PS the reviewer may have simply meant that Matt was third in terms of the performing order of 'impressive' singers

@ iloathedannii - That is a nice read as a Katie fan

I like to support an artist I believe in, if and when I can and I think she's worth the effort.

From all the X factor lot Katie is the one that stood out for me like for others it was Matt or Aiden. I love Katie's voice. I like her songs before x factor. And I think she does deserves a lot more credit then she gets.

Take a listen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80poX...layer_embedded

I would have rather gone to a gig of hers if i am honest - but no one was annouced early enough for me- as I would have loved to hear more than 2 songs from her.

Plus i'll get to meet in person some amazing people - also Katie fans and we'll go together to the concert

@ chosenturbo I like lots about katie, i admire her fighing spirit, her positive attitude despite everything, her music, her voice.

that's cool, I hope you have a great time.

she's not really my cup of tea, but I listened to 'Love Me Tender' and can say it was quite a nice rendition - having also heard some of her earlier work, I think she'd be most successful going down the 'Lola Fontaine' smoky jazz route

Just to clear a few things out:
Katie's album that is due to be released is her old pre x factor stuff she recorded with that label. She ISN'T SIGNED yet. But Chamberlain Records do own the rights to release the songs she recorded as they wish - not even sure if Katie agreed or not tbh - as she didn't say a word about it so far anywhere. The timing isn't ideal but i think the record label is after a quick buck with the X factor tour still on and stuff.

The album as far as i know will only be available as in an online format.

I do like the snippets of the songs - my pick from them would Brighter then Sunshine and The Ugly truth

Today it's not a good news for Katie and I don't think she's very happy with that.
