Also, if she gets into the top 12, I hope the producers/Simon/stylists don't ruin her and make her style contrived etc. I hope she's in complete control of her general style. Same with Cher.

I love katie. She's my favourite so far along with Nicolo.

At the end of X Factor tonight we say Cheryl say someone had not made it and Katie say she'd done everything she could. This suggested that Katie had not made the finals. But..... wishful thinking and Devil's Advocate ..... we did not see them talking to eachother here. So, Katie may well have been chosen for the finals, but the producers have made out she hasn't as a teaser!

I think she's made it.

She's had so much air-time and the producers wouldn't make it that obvious. Well, they did reveal the top 3 boys last year on an XtraF preview where they all jump in the water.

Shame that she messed up. She really needs to learn her words.

Funny I should say this since they did it again this year at the end of last night's Xtra Factor. Luckily I wasn't paying much attention so I don't know who the three contestants were.

So, it transpires that Katie was just reflecting on her suspense and relief in actually getting through! It makes a nice change to see someone make the finals that I was rooting for after their first audition.

I love Katie! I want her to win! She reminds me of a better Pixie Lott.

I hope the talentless bint goes out the first week.

I like Katie she is diffrent to anything we have seen before and yes i can see why Cheryl put both Cher and her through this about finding someone with the x factor not just a good voice. As for the comment above this is a appreciation thread so posting negative comments about Katie in here is breaking the T and Cs ....

yeah she is she definetely has talent I'll give her that will she win I'm not so suer I like her and I hope she does wellkfrom this I really do and changes a lot of peoples minds about her. i love Diana too and Diana came against adversity her year as well but since then nt only has she changed peoples minds she's hada hit West End Show (Little voice) and an album out which I love I just hope Katie sees that and thinks to herself if she can do it so can I and work hard to improve she's just got to be brave and focus on the performances just as Diana did

Although I'm primarily backing Belle Amie this year I think katie is definetely good enough to be my number 2

Firstly I know this is the AT, but I wanted to say I have gone off her a bit after JH performances, actually quite a lot. A bit too much drama for me.

I'm afraid I'm think others deserved the chance more.

But, even having said that, IF she stops the drama queen acting nonsense and sings, I think she could win me back over again during the live shows. What I liked about her in the first place is her voice. I wish someone would tell her, she doesnt need the over the top stuff - I think in fact if she just sings to the best of her ability, she will get a lot more fans than she will by (seemingly) deliberately fluffing up and going for the sympathy vote.

Anyway, at this stage they are ALL in with a chance. Its clean slate as far as I am concerned - good luck to them.

I hope Katie survives a few more weeks at least she has such a unique tone to her voice and it is a shame people can't see that I reckon wherever Katie finishes she has a bright future being a recording artist she is just so different

I thought that last night she was just ok but I really liked her tonight and agree with Simon that she should have sung that last night.

YAAAY the thread is alive! I didn't want to post before because i thought i would be alone talking to myself :P Katie fan here (also a cher fan but there is enough of me to go round ) She sang very well in the sing-off, put her heart and soul into it

So how many Katie fans are there ? I like her a lot actually thought her sing off perfomance was AMAZING She is a bit of a diva but i love that .Think its a shame if she does'nt get given a chance by the bitter Gamu Fans she did'nt get a record deal for being talentless xx

I'm also a fan of Katie! She's my top pick for this year of X factor. Too bad she has a target on her back by the x factor press machine to create buzz and controversy. Just not fair for her.

can i just add, i am a huge Storm fan and as katie seems to be the person he looks to for support i was never dead set against her like others. But i met her over the weekend, and she was lovely, sweet and stopped to chat for fans at 7 in the morning and 10 at night unlike certain other contestants!! (cher) and he voice in the sing off was superb!! Maybe we should have a joint Storm/Katie thread and get them both through the next few weeks

Nice to hear that Lisa and though I have not been a Katie fan myself I thought she was superb in the sing-off and the judges obviously did the right thing. Credit to Dannii especially for sticking to her "This is a singing competition" mantra from last year. It seems to me that in "Don't Let Me Down" we saw the real Katie without all the layers of styling and I wish she/they would tone it down a bit this coming week and make the focus her singing which is better imo than several of the other contestants.

I'm also tired of Katie being the object of so much derision. She's following her dream just like everyone else up there and as far as I know she hasn't killed anyone yet so why turn her into a figure of evil proportions. I do think that strong women in general receive more negative attention than their male counterparts, for qualities that in men often are found praiseworthy. i.e. a man is "dynamic" or "competitive" but a woman is "pushy.'

Nice to a hear postive stories about Katie for a change I honestly think she is a drama queen but underneath that i think she is a wacky girl but has a good heart Loved her Sing Off

I don't seem to catch a break with my favourites in X factor last year Danyl now Katie. I wish for once that that they leave the drama and the need to blow everything out of proportion.

I liked Katie after the audition but the bootcamp won me as her fan.
