If she preforms YGTL, i will cry, i am sick of it.

I would die happy if she came on this huge set and preformed Cosmic Love or Howl.

Only if it's not live - which it wont be.
If Daddy wasn't a newspaper man - Florence would have been exposed as the crap singer she is eons ago.

Tell me i'm lying and then go look at the too numerous crap live performances that she somehow gets away with.

Florence - not an original member of the machine left- I'm big in UK and Australia - bastard of a father has no connections anywhere else

It certainly is good. I much prefer it to You've Got The Love. Raise It Up's good too.

Why would you come on to a thread dedicated to a single performer and slate the hell out of her?!

I think this is excellent news, she's pure talent and a fantastic live performer. Hopefully will lead to some long awaited success in the US

I hate people who achieve fame on daddy's coat tails

As I said before - no country apart from the UK and Australia have had any interest in this heavily promoted act. Real pity she hasn't got uncles and aunties controlling the press outwith the UK. Listen to the live performances and come back and say she is good.
She has toured all over Europe - the press there is not so biased.

I don't get this mentality. Stupid really. If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Ridiculously over the top post as well.

I think she's great.

People who do it on their own - few and far between i must admit but they do still exist

And as for the so called writers who have written some drivel with the help of "co-writers" - what a load of crap.
That is an insult to the intelligence of most people.

Anyone who has seen Florence Live - anywhere - or who can defend her screaming and running around in a nightie and call it entertainment - have only got a pass out for the night.

Look on youtube - watch channel 4 tomorrow - she is awful.

Only us and a handful of australians think otherwise.

Please do name these elite artists who, by your book, qualify to be coined as "proper" musicians.

Right, you think she's awful, fair do's you're entitled to your opinion. We don't think she's awful, but that doesn't make you any better than us.

If you cant name one credible artist who writes their own material and has success not only in the UK - sorry - I'm not the one to help you out. Try google or phone a friend.

The answer will never be "Florence" or "pixie lott"

So you give as good as you get with all the talk and criticism of artists such as the above mentioned, but you don't name at least one to my question?

Does anything positive come out of your comments... ever?

Interpol
Metallica
etc etc.

Could give you a list as long as your arm - but why should I - just keep losing your grey matter every time you listen to florence and pixie. or probably not - that would have happened before.

Nah your really wrong, florence is loved and hated, like every other single f**king artist in the world. Just like MJ, Madonna, GaGa, Britney and all the 'greats'

so happy for her! i love Florence and the WHOLE Lungs album! glad she is getting recognized Stateside and will spread awareness of her raw talents and voice which always enchants me!! and no overplay of YGTL will ever change that as it is the best cover song i have heard in years!

i hope she performs Dog Days Are over or Cosmic Love as those songs will bring the whole audience to really come alive! or maybe Howl or Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) also
