What are the worst X Factor related singles?
Songs by so called winners, former contestants,etc...there really have been a few hideous releases since the series started. I actually liked Leona's Bleeding Love,(but hated all her tedious ballads) and everything Alexandra Burke has done so far has been listenable,if not remarkable. But generally,it has been an ocean of mediocre, manufactured manure.
Steve Brookstein,Leon, the mutton head who won last year...all absolutely horrible. But probably the worst in my opinion are the charity singles, where you get all the 'talent' involved. For me,last year was the worst by a long way, both with the winners single by Joe (my career is finished when my voice breaks) Mc Elderry, and the the group song had me switching for the off button on the radio as soon as the opening bars started.I hated the Michael Jackson version of You Are Not Alone and they made it ten times worse.I would rather eat rusty razor blades than listen to the likes of those songs again.![]() I have nothing against the occassional cheesy pop song.I mean,Glee has been my favourite show of the year so far. But all the hype and overkill that goes into X Factor machine makes it hard to give anyone involved in the show any credibility. And when this series is finished,it won't be long before X Factor USA starts.Oh joy.......... |

Tbh I've loved all of Leona's singles with the exception of 'Footprints' which I find a bit dreary!
One of the worst has to be Leon's 'When You Believe'-appalling, awful and every other negative adjective that exists. Anything done by Jedward is also pretty darned rubbish. However the ABSOLUTE worst X-Factor single ever is surely the one Eoghan Quigg released (28 000 friends ![]() maybe..,-some amount of friends I think!). I've never heard such dross in all my life.

I've loved all Alexandras singles, she is gonna be around for a while I think.
I didn't like any of Leon Jackson songs but like above, 'When You Believe' was pretty dreadful. |

I like shayne ward but his debut song that's my goal was so cheesy and horrible
Cheryl's 3 words song is a musical mess. Not the worst but the most overated has to be Bleeding love. |

I think 'When You Believe' has to be the worst ever X Factor winner's single. For me, it sums up everything I hate about the winner's singles - some cheesy message about believing and overcoming troubles and barriers in your life with a key change at the end. I have nothing against Leon Jackson at all (I liked Creative, and a couple of others off his album) but that song was awful. It was written for an animated Dreamworks movie and that's where it should have stayed. 'The Climb' isn't much of an improvement, although I don't dislike it as much as the other.
But moving on to other releases..I'm not a fan of 'Happy' by Leona Lewis. I'm also not keen on JLS' releases after 'Beat Again', with 'The Club Is Alive' being the worst offender. Eoghan Quigg's '28,000 Friends' was atrocious, as are Jedward's releases - although I don't think anyone expects their releases to be great. After all, they didn't come third in the competition. I'm either indifferent to the others or (rarely) I like them.

Cheryl's 3 words song is a musical mess. Not the worst but the most overated has to be Bleeding love. It achieved that that success completely on merit and without X factor hype outside the UK. All the winners songs have been pretty horrific though. |

Not really. It's my opinion
I know people who think "i will always love you" is proper shit but you can't deny it's a classic and how huge it was. But that's their opinion If i don't think something is that great, i won't bite my tongue and kiss arse. |

Its a bit much to say that a song that has reached #1 in over 35 countries is overrated.

Are you having a laugh? Leona had the Cowell machine to launch her in America and every other country. Bleeding Love would never of been as big as it was if Leona wasn't managed by Cowell and his team. That's why he's so obsessed with the X Factor alumni 'cracking America' - because he knows he can get them all the promo they ever need with all his contacts.

The best X Factor-related single has been We Are The Cheeky Girls, and I'm being entirely serious.

The charity songs they do proper bore me and make me cringe
I don't fall for all that charity crap anyway. I do and very often do charity work so it's not like i am being scrooge and being selfish. I just won't waste a couple of quid on a cringey song. Not a good way of honoring a charity if i am honest. |

The only acts from the X-factor that have made any material that I consider to be decent or worth listening too are Alexandra and Leona.

Weren't they in Pop Idol 2?
![]() The worst single is Shayne Ward's 'That's My Goal'. The most utterly sickeningly trite shite ever inflicted upon a poor innocent unsuspecting microphone. |

Worst X Factor singles? Talk about being spoiled for choice...
The worst though has to be Shayne Ward's That's My Goal. Utterly cringeworthy effort

Bleeding love was in fact #1 on the US itunes before she even made any appearences or did any promo in the US and long before the americans knew Leona was anything to do with reality tv. the worst x factor related single for me is the new Alex Burke track 'Start without you'. |
