This usually happens! I imagine that lots of soppy ballads will be making appearances in the Top 40 in the next 6 weeks or so...

Duh, they always play Leona's songs on X Factor - she's X Factor's Golden Girl, don't you know Cowell will continue to force her down our throats until we're all in love with her

Did you try out for x-factor at one time and get knocked back?

Or is your real name Steve?

It's a nice cover tbh. I think she's done the song justice.

Sorry if that sounded snobby - it's not as if I don't like manufactured music, in fact some of my favourite music is exactly that.

It's just that I despise everything that X Factor stands for - or rather what it claims to stand for. The hypocrisy, fakery and cynicism of the whole show is quite astonishing.

Despite being a big Alex fan, I understand people's objections to the x-factor. I used to enjoy it, and in the beginning I think they genuinely were looking for a successful pop star. I gave up on it last year when it became obvious that the show was more about ratings and the judges than the contestants, and I won't watch it again.

And I do find it frustrating when real talent like Hurts (whom I love) struggle to break the top 40 and x-factor acts such as Olly Murs are almost guaranteed a number 1. That said, I do think there are some genuinely talented people found on these show such as Leona and Alex. But I agree that the price they pay for this is releasing mostly generic forgettable music which has little identity.

Aww... look what Brandy tweeted about Leona:

I know I'm 2 albums late but I'm soooo in love with Leona Lewis!!! Her voice does unexplainable things to me! Haven't felt this way about a singer since Whitney! Can't wait to come home tonight and just watch her on youtube and cry my eyes out!
