Ello,

Hoping one of you fine people will be able to help out or possibly shed some light on whats up.

I got the BD-C6500 approx 2 weeks ago, all excited etc etc

Hooked it up when I got it via HDMI to my Samsung TV.

Fannied around with settings and then thought I would give the internet tv feature on the player a go.

As soon as I select it the screen goes blank & a few moments later 'Mode not supported' appears on the screen & I have to power off & on again to get back to normal.

Also if I try & change any of the picture settings like turning BD WISE off of changing the resolution from 'auto' to '108op' I get the same 'mode not supported' message.

I know its not my tv as its full HD 24fps blah blah

I thought it might have been the HDMI cable so I tried 3 different cables and still nothing.

The annoying thing is that if I put a blu-ray disc in it plays it at 1080p 24hz.

Any suggestions apart from 'its knackered send it back"

finally managed to get through to their support line to be met with an "errrmm i'll have to check" when I explained the problem to them.

also their latest firmware update for their blu-ray players seems to cause major problems on dvd playback, again that was met with an "errmmm"

I'll probably end up sending it back

Got it sorted.

Was about to return the player when a cheapo cable I bought from amazon arrived so I tried it & surprise surprise it worked.

Internet features work fine now. I can change the picture settings on the player without the screen cutting out.

the only thing thats still an issue is the player freezing up when playing dvds. i believe this will be fixed by a future update from samsung although i won't hold my breath.
