Fixable Fault?
i've a nokia phone which must have a faulty connection somewhere in the charger-adaptor-socket (where you plug in to charge it up) as it no longer charges.
might seem like a daft question, but would this be an expensive fault to repair? or would it just be better to bin it, and get another 2nd hand phone for the same money... |

Could it be that the battery has had it? Have you tried another battery?

On all the Nokia phones at work that show the same sympton (3310, 6210, 3650, 7650) a replacement battery fixes it.
Best bet is find someone with another Nokia and try your charger on there handset and there battert in your phone. |

oh! thanks very much, i never thought of doing that. need to find someone with an 8210. the guy at the market said he could do it but then said a fuse went on his extension (power supply) so he couldn't do it today? was going to charge me £8 - 10 for it
at the likelihood of not being able to find another 8210 to test with, other symptoms before its failure were you had to give the socket an extra push with the plug to get it to start charging and to carry on - could it still be a worn out battery? (as i'll pick one up on ebay/the market if so) cheers !
