Dont have a clue whats happening this season or last tbh, I dont see how selling one player could have such a destabilising effect on a team. Alonso was good but was he that good?
Guess its just going to be a rebuilding couple of years, then hopefully they will be able to challenge for the title again.
They are reminding me of england at the world cup, at times they look like they are not interested in playing.
They didnt even deserve the 2 goals today, totally outplayed for 95% of the game at least

Good for Ajax, is that the team you support?

Enjoy your meal sonny, bet your happy with that result
Lol at Bill Shankly.

hmm my thoughts ... welll I really liked Sheila. She generally seemed to put my thoughts into words and often was able to judge who would perform well and have a future. After all she predicted right about Danielle. She would be a big star and have a bright future. She always had evidence to back up her points. She could draw from her own experiences. I thought Charlotte was ok although she didn't say anything too important. It was always about finding their honeypot. I was impressed when she got Emilie to actually sound good and in tune. As for John I liked him in eastenders but he often bugged me in the show. Some of his comments I felt were wrong and a little uncalled for. I think however they made a nice combination of judges. At the end of the day they all seemed to like Danielle and she won and that's what matters. I think Sheila's favourite was Danielle but not from the beginning. I think Danielle made her mark in Sheila's acting class. As for John I think he liked Steph but he also had a soft spot for Sophie trying to help her out a lot. I think Charlotte liked Lauren and Stephanie and that's mainly cos they had excellent voices. She told Lauren she got fed up of hearing herself say how good she was every week and she told Stephanie she could listen to her sing the phonebook. That's my opinion anyway.

I wonder what Dan is too. It would be interesting. Tbh I think I often have a very closed minded view of the world and am a bit naieve. I'm interested in other religions though. I have friends who are catholic and it's interesting hearing stuff from them. What are you sonnycorleone?

I think Tracy said on here one night that she was a catholic, so I assume Danielle is also, it was during one of our lets see how much rubbish the haters can blame Danielle games.

ETA: Are you a Chelsea fan burnttoastsad?
I always have liverpool and then another team i expect to get relegated to support, this year its blackpool but doesnt look like they have much hope of winning this game now.

Yes Ajax is my team. They are 1st in the league, but after the game against Real, i do not have faith in a good champions league season.

My fellow mafiosi. I am back from my meal. Pizza capricciosa and tiramisu. Very mafia. And a bottle of Chianti. My name is Sonny Corleone and I am an alcoholic. Just joking.

I liked that there was an entirely new panel for this show, because I think it added a sense of newness to the proceedings,

Sheila was my favorite judge, because seemed to think a lot of the same things I was thinking, and for her, the acting was the most important thing, as it is for me. Also, she was very constructive in her advice to the girls and seemed to really care about how their careers were going to go. I liked the segment in the final that showed her meeting with the former Dorothys and giving them advice.

I ended up liking Charlotte more than I thought I would. I thought she had some very good, constructive advice about the vocals, and her mission with the girls was fun to watch.

As for John, I sometimes liked his comments and sometimes I thought he was just trying to be contrary for the sake of it. I did love his dance mission with the girls, though.

My thoughts on each judge's favorite:

Sheila--Danielle

Charlotte--Lauren

John--Steph

I am a lapsed member of the Church of England, but thinking about making a return. I have a lot of respect for Judaism though. Full marks to Avram Grant for putting his religion first.

I like Blackpool too! I was born there but don't live there now. No Pool fan expected anything from today.

That's cool. Sometimes you need religion sometimes you don't. It's hard if you're a religious Jew cos you got to abide by all the rules. I have two groups of friends. I have non religious friends who are ironically generally from school and out of school friends who are religious and I've met through my youth group. However, yesterday everyone even my non religious friends would have put their religion first. It was a massive day!

When you say non-religious, they do at least put their religion first for one day a year! That's a start.

Someone on X Factor just sang Danielle's rehearsal line from Enough is Enough! 'Just look him in the eye and simply shout!' No guesses for what it instantly reminded me of!

X factor is addictive. Just like OTR! Rooting for someone is half the fun. If they find someone as good as Dan they will be lucky.

I dont think its as addictive as last year (just yet anyway) but nothing could top the OTR addiction. That one nearly caused me to fail my degree
But its always great to have favourite it way more interesting.

I have watched a lot of reality TV but have never been gripped by anyone as much as Dan. The girl has magic!

Ah, X-Factor. I guess all the UK folks are going to be talking about that for a while. How long does it go, and are they at the live shows yet? I wonder if I should bother checking it out on YouTube. I got so bored with American Idol last year, and I really wish there were more ALW shows because I think they are so much better than the Idol/X-Factor type shows. Still, I might check out a few clips just so I can understand a bit of what my British friends are into.

BTW, I put Rob's question about the judges on the forum as well, because I think it's a good topic for discussion and there are people who post on the forum who don't post here. I may do that with other questions from time to time, as well. I hope you don't mind, Rob.

No probs, feel free to use them. Anything to keep the forum moving.
