Sherlock was a no-brainer, just a shame it is still for only 3 episodes again. I thoroughly enjoyed Luther, the last couple of episodes were superb.

Idris Elba mentioned in an interview that if the show came back it might be a different, shorter format. I suspect the fall in ratings as the series progressed made the BBC a bit wary about a recommision but this way they can schedule the show without commiting to 6 weekly slots.

I presume this is the same "Touch" that had a pilot earlier in the year? If it is then good news, it had a lot of promise.

“ITV are in discussions to bring back 'Cold Feet'.”
They may as well bring back the original show as they have spent 7 years trying to make a successful copy but all have failed.

“I think they might consider moving Doctor Who to early-Autumn because the competition should be fine if The X Factor begins in late-Autumn as speculated. They could start Strictly later in the evening, knowing that it won't clash against X Factor for the first half of the series. S4 of Merlin could be delayed till Spring in 2012.”
Moving Doctor Who is something the BBC should do but im not sure about the Autumn. Clashes with the X Factor arent what is needed and the BBC have Strictly to hold up the schedule at that time of year. Starting the series in Jan or Feb seems better. It follows on from the Christmas special, can help boost new talent/entertainment shows and will avoid clashes with BGT and being bumped for shows like Eurovision.
