Nonsense. ITV remains the villain of the piece for having such a failing schedule of programmes these days that they have to wrap their two soaps around every episode of EastEnders in a desperate attempt to lure back viewers. EE has a long tradition of extended special episodes going back 25 years - if you have your way, that would be no more because EE would be hemmed in to its current 30 min slots.
