You're right - NT will still rate very healthily and double what Paul O'Grady gets. I don't think anyone expects anything else tbh.”
Dont second parts of dramas always rate lower anyway? I think New Tricks on a Friday is fine. Silent Witness got some great figures there and Ashes to Ashes was down because it had double the 16-34 audience that Silent Witness and New Tricks have. New Tricks taking the Friday slot allows the BBC to have a big hitter on the Friday whilst better slots in the week are left for more neddy dramas like Spooks, Outcasts etc.

I think the only 2 channels happy with those figures are BBC Two and Channel 4. ITV's soaps were dented by BBC One and Channel 4, but I think BBC will be regretting putting that episode of Waterloo Road against the ITV soaps.
And not often a soap sheds 2 million viewers and 7/8 share points in the space of 3 days despite being in the same timeslot.”
I think BBC will be happy with those numbers myself. Waterloo Road seems to have been sacrificed against the soaps and did its job by damaging them. Personally. I think Waterloo Road deserves better than a clash with the ITV soap hour but that is the way the BBC schedulers have gone and the rating isnt that bad.
Also, a really solid 4.5m for Motorway Cops, 2m ahead of ITV.

You know people don't like Daybreak when you get people on the Daily Mail comments section saying they're going to defect to BBC Breakfast.
I'll see what Daybreak's like though for the first day or two, but it'll be interesting to see the amount of people that hop from ITV to BBC on Monday, or vice versa.
Digital Spy has updated with a few more ratings: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/...grabs-45m.html”
ITV are in a tough situation. If they change Daybreak a lot and it doesnt remind people of GMTV they risk losing the existing GMTV audience to other channels. If they dont change it that much they wont win any viewers who left GMTV back. So, they need to get the mix right.
Edit: I see Four Poofs and a Piano have joined Daybreak. Im now predicting Daybreak will be axed by Christmas.
