Apparently the BBFC (not the BBC) cleared nine episodes for the series ten DVD, but the DVD only contains seven episodes.

It's so that the clubs can get their internationals back a day earlier to prepare for the next weekend games.



Although the BBC appeared to have been listing it as a 9 part series right up to episode 7 last week.

I've long wanted the crowd gone - actually probably since Makosi's eviction the first time around when the interview viewers had been waiting for all series was ruined by an audience of morons who did not really reflect viewers opinions. The same thing then happened with Aisleyne the next year - and now virtually every evictee is booed the booing is just as meaningless as every evictee being clapped and cheered on the way out as in the US.


That said though I wasn't too bothered last night. It's only a couple of extra shows they're having interviews outside for and it makes sense to use the stage rather than either leave it there unused or have had to remove it between the two finals. Makosi's interview was handled much better than the first time round, whilst it was Nadia's arrogance which got the better of her - not the crowd. Winning six years ago doesn't excuse being a bitch now!


I also thought that it was one of the very few eviction shows which actually ended on a positive note with the "first dance" at the end and the closing shots of Chantelle and Preston.

Iv watched BB for years but i dont get what all the fuss is about? They all get bood now, whys it such big news lol? I thought last nights show was really good? However the ratings arnt really :s

I still think 7.6 million is very good for a team that's still in the doghouse, against a team people can't get very hyped up aboutand on a night when the weather was warm. I enjoyed it as a match, but wonder how England will do on Sky next week.
UBB got its just desserts- this nasty pile of rubbish down to 2.33 million. Remember, I hope EE and Corrie stuff it next week to make Channel 5 not buy it and leave it dead and buried.

"Cry Me a River" used on X Factor audition. Turned over in break to Lottery to see someone else performing same song on BBC One. Odd!

X Factor ended at least 5 minutes early again so look out for full and tape-checked ratings. It was a much more entertaining episode tonight though and hopefully it's back on track after a controversial first week and a dull second week.

Which is really annoying because UBB is rivetting, loving the characters.... possibly just a blip... it can go 2 ways, the news that people heard last night (about the crowd) could inetrest more people to watch to be what the fuss is about, or piss the viewers off and decline... i really doubt that a crowd reaction will decrease viewers... I thought it was very brutal but Nadia cant just think she can be a bitch just because she was popular the first time round.

Hmmm, the football did ok I guess and probably rated better between 7.30 and 10 than ITV's usual schedule would. As they eluded to on the programme yesterday, the Friday matches will limit people who live a distance from Wembley to get there, so I doubt the FA are happy with the switch.

EastEnders was hit but will recover on Monday. The rest of the BBC1 schedule did as well as expected considering. I thought the later show may have performed slightly better for Ultimate Big Brother but I'd like to echo what others have said regarding the standard of the programme last night - it was awful.

Anybody know the ratings for last night's BBC3 screening of Eastenders which didn't clash with the football?

Friday's episode is usually the lowest rated BBC3 episode of the week. The most recent figures I've seen give it about 700,000 in the overnights.

Depends if it reaches the news. I can't see the Daily Star being that eager to promote this, though I suppose The Sun may do. This won't have anywhere near the impact of the race incident, though, and can't see it affecting the ratings that much.

Endemol should be. Let's just say it would appear they have been very selective in their editing techniques...

A lot of the early, and worst stuff, wasn't to be fair. Which is why they got fined in the end.

True - I think BB were right to air that (and should've aired it ALL) and it was blown out of order by the press for sensationalist headlines which changed the approach of Big Brother forever. Instead of leaving the public to have their say on events in the House the press have taken over which doesn't work. I think the decrease in standards and, as a result, a decline in ratings comes from that.

Agree, but they may do (promote it), obviously no where near the extent of the race row, never know.

Please tell me Salv* that you aren't actually hoping this increases ratings...
