It won't increase ratings... am I hoping it does? No not really. On quality basis on the actual series, Yes. On what happened last night, defenitley not.

I think that UBB is a very good series, but this was supposed to be a celebration, not a curicifying of popular housemates just because they don't agree on a bunch of teens and chavs opinions.

People are reaching out to the press about this issue, so they will be in a lot of shit for sure.... death threats to her, its absoloutley terrible.

Well Nadia's bagged the cover of the Star tomorrow...

In an interesting twist the Daily Star Sunday will be running a story about how BB has left Nadia feeling "suicidal" tomorrow and how she plans to sue C4.

Is that the hopes of a BB revival on Channel 5 I can hear fading? Jolly good.

If i was feeling suicidal and going to sue and in a state of shock depression the last thing i would want to do is talk to the Daily Star and give them an interview. That said it is the Daily Star so they have probably made up an interview.

Can't imagine this Funniest Year thing doing very well. There doesn't appear to be a thread for it on here and I think it's a big ask from C4 for people to sit through two hours of Rufus Hound.

To be fair, Channel 4 only gets a maximum of 1m in that slot on Saturdays, so can't see them being too concerned with a poor rating.

Seems an odd story for Desmond's paper to run with if the contract has been signed for Big Brother to continue on Channel 5.

Regardless of the legitimacy of the Star story, it does tie in with what we've heard already this evening from another ex-housemate.

I'm no legal expert but the programme does have a duty of care to all of the contestants which appear. Nadia's story would appear to represent a major failing in that regard.

And now Makosi has in all but name called Davina racist.

LOL who would have thought with just 1 week to go we would be near to going back to what killed the show in the first place. After all this today maybe it might be best if C5 dont buy it - can't believe ive said that as im such a BB fan but time to move on.

It's all descending into chaos now. The whole charade that is Big Brother has been exposed again, and the fallout won't be pretty. Best thing Davina can do right now is close down her Twitter account.

It says a lot when what's happening off screen is more interesting than what's happening on screen. (I don't mean that in an insulting way to Nadia or Makosi either, who haven't had a good time of it of late )

If Five still decides to recomission it I don't think they have a choice now but to ditch Davina. She's tarnished by the Channel 4 Big Brother rather than seen as a legend of the show now.

Twitter baying for Davina's blood for being racist now... this is all just confusing to me, bang on the last week, everything about the show is coming out... just within the last 24 hours, suidical thoughts, breakdowns and raicism....

And this is what it will be remembered as for this final week of chaos... its so horrible because the HMs left in are just all having fun unknown that there is such a chaos over what happened last night, shame because UBB is very good.

Back on ratings front.

X factor I reckon will be around 9.8m tonight.

Like so many series of late the producers have on their hands something decent and turn it into something dreadful. Up to BB7 they managed to build on good foundations, but from the latter stages of BB7 onwards they've twisted and turned and perverted in a desperate attempt to push boundaries that didn't need to be pushed.

I don't like this blame culture we have. Davina is just a scapegoat at the end of the day. She did herself no favours last night, but the bigger problems lie with the production side of things and this attempt to conceal significant developments in the house from viewers. The disproportionate editing which followed in a desperate bid to sweep any potential controversy under the carpet has, at the very least, partly contributed to the downfall and apparent breakdown of a former Big Brother winner, highlighting quite clearly how flawed the programme has become. It's a shame to see a series that was supposed to be a "celebration" reduced to this, but they brought it on themselves.

I can not wait for BB to end and be done with - I pray that five does not pick it up. The Big Brother forum on here, which was once quite a laugh, is a total no go these days. The mass
complaints to ofcom - whilst mildly amusing the first time - are tiresome. Oddly this show has been killed off by the people that watch it the most. I might give the final a look just for old times sake but the sooner this show is done with the better. My awe at the 10pm series 3 ratings all those years ago seems like a lifetime ago.

May I point out that the front page of the daily star says nadia felt suicidal, not does feel suicidal and that they've not had an interview with her because they don't have a new picture. Also the same front page proclaims that Adrian and Christine are returning to the one show.

The truth is that far from there being chaos not much has happened outside of digitalspy.

If anything all it shows is how desperate the daily star is for bb content and how likely it is Desmond will buy it for five.

I don't see the big deal to be honest.

I agree completely. The production side has started the big issues for Big Brother and means Davina's hands have become tied the more the series have developed.

I hadn't no. Apologies. Still don't think it's a big deal. It's not going to be a major story.

I think there's something exceptionally odd about someone declaring their intention to kill themselves in a national newspaper.

In terms of contestant care, they all get access to psychiatrists and psychologists and so on. But Endemol can't force them to participate.

It won't become a big story simply because Big Brother is over in a week. I don't think the major tabloids have the urge to build a story out of this when it isn't going to last. I'm sure The Daily Star will have a go, but nobody pays any attention.

NOTW tomorrow suggesting the X Factor wont return to the UK until 2012 and that ITV are searching for another show to take on Strictly next year.

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/show...&ATTR=X+Factor

Meanwhile apparently Tony Blair will be on the first 'Daybreak'.

But they gave her the green light to go back in there in the first place, didn't they? Wasn't that the first failing since even Nadia herself admits she was "already vulnerable."

Of course, if the contract hasn't been signed yet they could be looking to lower the image of the brand, and therefore the cost to take it on. One hand giveth, the other taketh away...

I'd assume they'll have two series of I'm A Celebrity... next year and then run Britain's Got Talent in the autumn - possibly with weekly live shows instead of nightly?

There are also rumours about Andrew Lloyd Webber defecting. If that's true that'd help them out in the late spring.
