The first show will probably feature extensive highlights of Big Brother 2000-2010

Not really, the multichannel HD figures by and large reflect the 30% of HD penetration in pay homes.

A third of Sky's subscribers can't be considered 'hardcore'.

Shame all the channels (especially the Sky branded ones) aren't reported separately, so we could get a clearer picture.

I honestly don't understand why they're beginning the final at 7.30pm, that's way too early. And it'll be dented by EastEnders. Looks like a good evening for BB fans though ”

Amazing! Bring it on...

amended prog data for w/e 4th July 2010 now available on BARB website

absolutely no word on the ITV1 HD issue for this week

I'm guessing Kantar are gonna leave as is and will correct when the amendment cycle comes round

A lot of them like Davina's Big Send Off will be more for the people who are committed fans rather than the casual, I remember Chanelle, what does she look like now viewer? However, I suppose it is the end of an era and Channel 4 don't want to look mean by switching it off as soon as the winner is announced.

Looks like the premiere of The Bourne Ultimatum is airing straight after X Factor on Saturday 4th September at 20:45, which should be good for 4-5m. Also on ITV1, one-off called Help! I Caught It Abroad is airing in the Tuesday 9pm slot on the 7th. There's another bonus Corrie on Sunday 5th, with U Be Dead 21:00-23:00.

Well, when Alan Bradley died in 1989 by being hit by a Blackpool tram they had to use a real tram and, hence, a real tran driver but because the driver was so conscientious he kept on braking and stopping before he reached Alan Bradley, it was a reflex action. So eventually they had to put someone in the cab with him, sitting on the floor, holding his foot so he couldn't touch the brake.

So clearly, Blackpool trams were happy enough, I don't see why Metrolink wouldn't be. Otherwise you'd get car manufacturers complaining their cars have been in crashes on soaps.

Oo-er, misses! Stick it on the table and lets have a look at it!

Way to rub The Bill's nose in it. Axe the series when it's getting some of the most critical aclaim it's had in years and replace it with the tripiest factual programme you can think of. (I presume this is about STDs, and not fishing.)

Not strictly a bonus Corrie on the Sunday, but one ousted from its Friday slot by the football (he said pedantictly.)

Will ITV1 move X Factor to 8pm on the 11th to avoid Strictly's meet-the-contestants show? I'm assuming BBC1 will schedule their programme to go past 7.30 just for the hell of it.

No, it isn't about STDs, it's a fly-on-the-wall documentary set in the Hospital For Tropical Diseases I think. Although I think the new series of Law & Order: UK which is starting on the Thursday (and has already run into controversy) is The Bill's replacement.

Yeah I think X Factor will start at the same time as the SCD preview show ends that week, although I can't see a preview show being too much of a threat for it.

It is not as downmarket as you imply.

The Bourne Supremecy premiere in 2007 only had ~3m iirc. So I don't think Ultimatum will get 4-5m (not the higher end of that anyway), even with an X Factor lead-in.

I twigged after I posted and switch off my PC that this was obviously inspired by the fragrant Cheryl and her holiday horror, but - come on! - what's a guy to think with a title like that. It's the "it" that does it. Like I said earlier - oo-er misses!

Fair enough, it's another of those programmes with a tabloid-headline title designed to attract attention. But seems to be a worthy subject for a primetime documentary.

Edit: just noticed D.M.N's post above and the date on the programme blurb. So it's not the programme that was inspired by Cheryl's illness, it's the repeat screening.

It isn't a repeat as it's called Help! I Caught It Abroad 2. Sorry, should have pointed that out earlier.

It got 3.5m but it aired against Five Days and was split around the news. This is a much better slot, with an X Factor lead in and Ultimatum is a better film. I think it'll break 4m at least as the premiere of The Bourne Identity got ~5m a few years ago.

This rated at 2.0m; 15% in the overnights. Not bad for Tuesday night at 10.35pm

Ah right. Yeah, that does sound like it had a bad slot for the Supremacy premiere. Saturday evening's better I guess and competition looks easier, so it should be able to get 4m then.

By the way, what are ITV airing at 6:30pm/7pm on Sunday 5th September?

Confirmed
- Bouquet of Barbed Wire to begin Monday 6th September at 21:00 (1/3)
- Law & Order: UK to return Thursday 9th September at 21:00 (1/7)
- Paul O'Grady Live to begin Friday 10th September at 21:00

EDIT, and a major edit:

itvpresscentre: Alert: @itvcorrie Coronation Street will have a one hour special on Sunday 5 Sept 7pm-8pm #itvpresscentre details - http://ow.ly/2uyEE - 2 minutes ago via HootSuite

That would suggest to me that there was already a plan to air an episode on Sunday 29th August regardless of scheduling changes the following Friday.

Ah thanks, that answers my question. It could be some extra episodes they're airing in September because they might lose some when I'm a Celebrity is on air so it balances out. I wouldn't be surprised if there's another hour long Corrie the following Sunday too, as a lead-in to the final Heartbeat episode.

There won't be room as I read a few weeks ago that they've got a documentary on the Battle of Britain presented by David Jason that night to tie in with Albert's Memorial.

Can't see the new Paul O'Grady chat show doing too well against New Tricks and the Big Brother finale. New Tricks has in the past out rated Eastenders and Corrie on the same night, I wonder if it will still be capable of that on Friday's. (obviously not the big Eastenders ep on the 10th though).

Very good for the BB Final, it will be interesting to see if UBB tops it.

The CSI Trilogy did really despite being on before and against Big Brother, I wouldn't be surprised if CSI at 11 won its slot. Railway Adventures has done the rare thing of increasing its viewers every week.

Some updates from Digiguide show Transformers on Channel 4 on 6th September, it will rate well but the timeslot's a bit early. I think Five may delay or move Pursuit of Happyness in order to maximise viewers.

Both broadcasters it seems have recognised the opportunity for a big family movie premiere on the last day before the schools go back.

Absolutely pointless having Transformers and Pursuit of Happyness clash, so I hope they have the sense to move them out of the way of one another.

Transformers cool! Keep meaning to watch that, Can't see Purusit of Happyness being a big draw for families, it's a real tear jerker and kids wouldn't watch it, the subject matter wouldn't appeal at all.
