The first BB show did so well getting 3m. Such a shame the 2nd show was unbelievably late finishing almost at midnight, but that share is fantastic.

Good for Hellcats. It's pleasing to see the CW post a decent rating for once after last season which was a bit of a disaster for the network with only one or two exceptions.
Interestingly I heard Living TV have begun promoting Nikita already. Seems a little early. When does it premiere on the CW?

A new CW drama building up from ANTM? That's a surprise. Could we see this from Glee/American Idol on FOX? After all, AI has lost to DWTS on most of their live shows and going below 20 million. Plus, with three of four judges already departing from the show (incl. Simon), I can't see any rise happening. Then again, Glee does super in demo. Total viewers wise, it has never went more than 15 million viewers. However, could this all change after their Superbowl episode next year?
Back to CW, it is impressive that Hellcats built from ANTM. The finals might change that, but it is still a decent premiere for a new CW drama. Despite mixed reviews, the figures prove that people are interested. The question now is will it go up or down next week? I have to admit, it was slightly above my prediction. Tonight could be CW's huge night, with premieres from The Vampire Diaries and Nikita. Nikita has been heavily promoted and hyped from critics. In fact, I think The CW pushed Nikita so much, it is almost like they don't give a crap how well Hellcats does. As long as Nikita succeeds, everything is well and truly good for them.

Good for both. I'm quite surprised that Hellcats did so well (obviously benefited from ANTM) - I thought the previews looked very very poor.

Bit quiet in here tonight. I hate it when the Ratings Thread falls to page 2 as it did before Dan posted his comment.
So a few comments on last night's ratings:
The One Show is getting a bit oh-oh!
. But I guess it's mainly an on-in-the-background type programme so really we need to wait to see how it fares when the clocks go back and the nights darken earlier.
Poor for Bang Goes The Theory. A waste of a good slot. It should be put back to Monday opposite Corrie. Or, as it's mainly for the kids, try Sunday at 6pm.
Waterloo Road did okay. I expect that if Holby Cty had been in that slot against Midsomer, it would probably have rated pretty much the same.
Solid night for ITV, although maybe Midsomer should be doing a little better. Possibly it was handicapped by STV opted out to show Tuesday night factual stuff instead.
Good performance by The Unforgettable Mollie Sudgen. I love that bit from Are You Being Served where Mr Lucas gave Mrs Slocombe a fireman's lift. I doubt a scene like that would get past health & safety these days.

It's allready got twitter and facebook going mad for it so i expect around 1.4m for BBC3

But I have to say that, unlike the Live episode which was really good, Tonight's episode ( apart from the special effects of course) had to be one of the poorest episodes acting & story wise in quite a while.
Whilst I hope it does well tomorrow, becuase of such an iconic character leaving and tonight no doubt will do good, I honestly don't think it deserves it becuase of the poor quality episode tonight!

. I thought it was very good and most of the comments on twitter/facebook are positive.Talking of Twitter, Monday's and Tuesday's episodes reached a peak of 0.17% of tweets for their respective episodes. Tonight's episode got upto 0.45%. (Disclaimer: Twitter has no bearing link to ratings

Daybreak is doing fine. It's such a big shift it could have easily dropped like a bomb from gmtv. It's held the audience and half a week on no significant boost to the opposition. The one show started at the same level as the previous programme (3.5m to celeb masterchefs 3.5m) and grew steadily (although admittedly the one show seems to be back to 3.5m again).

I can't remember the last time any tv show gave me an Action packed Dramatic episode like EastEnders did tonight and it walks allover the LIVE episode.

It could be the most action packed episode ever, but the acting was terrible tonight . peggy's screaming was actaully giving me a headache!
Liek i said i really like the Live episode, so it's not me just not liking EE!
Also 6 trends does not always = good, 5 could be how terrible it was!

I don't see how yes there was alot of shouting and people running around and parts of Babs acting was a bit bad but on the whole the acting was Brilliant
Nearly every post on twitter is positive and i've popped onto the EastEnders facebook and theres loads of casual EastEnders viewers on their prasing it

Don't agree that it walked all over the live episode. In fact I don't think it comes even close.
Loved EastEnders tonight. I hope it gets at least 9m.
