Connecting HDR-Fox T2

Any opinions on which connection is best, Scart or HDMI?
I'm not a techy so I'm not interested in other methods of connecting.

Well as it is a HD device the only way to get HD pictures onto the telly is via HDMI.

Eh? I get Freeview HD through a coax connection.

Won't be HD though. SCART does not support HD resolutions. The box will probably downscale HD pictures to SD for SCART.

So what do you mean by COAX? Are you talking about an aerial lead connection?

Fairly obviously you can get Freeview HD signals passed through the Humax onwards to the TV via the aerial sockets. But that requires a Freeview HD equipped TV to receive and decode the HD broadcasts. Which it does completely independently of the Humax box.

If you want to transfer HD pictures from either the Humax's tuner or replaying previously recorded HD programmes the only way to do so is via HDMI.

You're right, of course, chrisjr. I was just responding to your "Well as it is a HD device the only way to get HD pictures onto the telly is via HDMI." comment.
Yes, I do have an HD TV.

Yes, I do have an HD TV.”

I would have thought the question posed in the OP would have put the reply into context. It wasn't a general question about watching any old HD picture on the telly but specifically about watching the HDR Fox T2.

Yes, yes, I know. I should never have spoken.
