So 6th Place are not in the running for the 2-5th Place Play-Offs?!
![]() Anyway; Prescot Cables are jammier than Woodley Sports. Atleast they don't wear the Barcelona kit. Any Warrington/Prescot fans on this forum who went to todays Match? Our Centerback tried to do a Rooney, and hit the bar. And our striker tried to do a Alonso, and shot from our own half, and it Rooneyed straight at the keeper. I want to know what our Manager told them before the match... They're not far up the road, but you guys have played a few more games. Todays result wasn't ideal, especially with Curzon losing. Welcome to the thread! Keep posting! Spread the word! |

I'm happy with the fact Zamaretto Division One Central seems to be between Hitchin and Arlesey, both very local to me. Really hope Hitchin especially (fellow Hertfordshire team, Arlesey are just over the border in Bedfordshire), but apparently Arlesey won 12-0 the other day!
At least Herts football will see a promotion this season, but the way it's going the Zamaretto Premier League will have four Hertfordshire clubs as it's looking quite likely that both Boreham Wood and St. Albans (after their points deduction) will be going down from the Conference South, and we already have Hemel Hempstead in there too.I'll have to make sure to go to a few local non-league games next season! I'm really enjoying Stevenage's first go at the Football League but I do miss the non-league more than a little. Yes very close between Hitchin and Arlesey if the latter win their games in hand. They have another game to catch up now as their game at AFC Hayes was off. Hitchin got a good win at 5th placed Aylesbury. I would hope Hitchin go up, as they were neck and neck all season with Bury last year, amassing over 100 points, only to amazingly finish second! And they then lost the playoff semi final, as so always happens. I hope this time it works out for them as they are well supported for a step 4 club - several hundred. By the way the 12-0 win for Arlesey needs to be put in context a bit. A few months ago Atherstone announced they were quitting the Southern league due to the cost of travel, and stopped paying players/no budget. Some stayed on but before the game last weekend most, plus the manager, had enough and went. So they had a load of kids playing, so no surprise they got butchered. St Albans will go down I'm sure, but I think they could end up in the Ryman League rather than the Zamaretto? The boundaries are tight and often change, asis the case with Hemel. Boreham Wood looked doomed at christmas, but they got a few QPR loanees in and look much better, reflected in their results. They are now out the drop zone, and have a good chance of survival. But if they did go down, like St Albans, they'll probably go in the Ryman, which is where they came up from last season. And if that happens, and depending on ups and downs throughout the UK, Hemel could get moved 'sideways' across to the Ryman as well. |

2700 crowd for the North East derby.
I wonder how Gateshead's new stadium is coming along ? Thats a superb crowd. Good win for the Heed. We just about beat Salisbury (thats one hell of a journey back!), and Luton won narrowly at Guiseley. A pity for Chasetown as their home game with Mansfield was rained off, so a big crowd was scuppered, and they won't get as many in for a rearrangement for midweek. So a NE final is still on, though I hope we meet in the semis. Luton are the team to avoid, as they seem to be putting a strong side out now. |

We beat Lewes 4-0 yesterday, apparently, I just about remember the 2nd goal, rest of it is a blank, haven't a clue how I managed to update Live Score / Twitter with goal updates!

Darlington might even get to fill 25% of their 'crime against the town' stadium. |

Well done Boges ![]() ![]() Coming down to York tonight? No one here is under any misconceptions about your current form. Key game for the playoff push. The thing with York - saying ahead of the game on purpose - is the better the side we face the better we do. We destroyed Wimbledon 4-1 (should have been a lot more) a few weeks back, Fleetwood had one shot on target when we beat them in the last home game, but we struggled to get a draw at Alty. Always been like that...even back when we had the crazy 1995 season - check out this run of results in succession: One win all season for the first few months, then...... Swansea 0-1 York - League Manchester United 0-3 York - League Cup first leg Hull City 0-3 York - League York 1-2 Manchester United - League Cup second leg (got to meet Eric Cantona, nice fella) Scunthorpe 0-3 York - LDV (as it was known at the time) And we beat someone at home after that, can't remember who. Totally out of the blue. Never known us play better. Dodgy Chairman 1 of 2 (the second of which is why we fell out of the league) then sells the squad and we return to being crap. I digress

Undefeated throughout Feb, Bogie with the manager of the month, I knew we'd lose tonight, f**king jinx!
In all fairness though, well done York, you really can't win them all and we need to start another run of good results again. As I said right at the start of the season, a decent position in the league would be great, play offs would be unbelievable, but, WE DO NOT WANT TO GET PROMOTED THIS SEASON. We got promoted from Conference North to Conference National a season too early and spent a season as whipping boys, don't want that again. All the best for the rest of the season Launch Fan. You got the 6 points. All the best

Just got back. Was a bit of a strange game. Parts of it was end to end (you guys do not sit back unlike some teams in this division), parts of it was disjointed. You were very good in the second part of the first half. Shaw looked dangerous.
Started very strong and missed a few before taking an early lead (would have been a penalty had it not gone in). You goal came after a right old scramble before it went out for a corner, which you scored a good goal from (powerful effort). Bad defending for our winner, seemed a right mix up before giving away a pen, then it got a bit tasty, with one of your defenders (Turnbull) doing everything he could to injury our right back (the scallywag!) before someone else (Gates) joined in and got his second yellow. After that we just kept on missing golden chances. Anyway, certainly could see a big improvement from the team we beat at your place. Much better team and you'll get some wins out of those lot! PS A handful of your fans were proper naughty before the game, wrecking one of our pubs. Bed with no supper for them! ![]() All the best for the rest of the season!

There was no manager of the month jinx at Woking tonight, best performance I've seen for years to smash 2nd placed Ebbsfleet 3-0, 7 wins in a row, 7 clean sheets, easy!

And a correction, per other York fans and some Gateshead fans who have been on our forum, it would appear the small amount of trouble was caused by a handful of local Newcastle fans in the area, who were getting comfy to watch the Man U/Chelsea game.
Noticed by arriving Gateshead fans (the way to the away end passes by this pub in question), they took offense to the taunt of "Premiership, you're having a laugh" and had a hissy fit ![]() Nice one Gateshead!

I was at the Ebbsfleet game at Chelmsford last saturday, which was declared ON too late for some uncertain away supporters to travel to reasonably short journey. Lee Harding the Braintree chairman turned up, and he got a right gobful from the home fans! Chelmsford absolutely ran the show first half, even after Ebbsfleet scored a wonder free kick to make it 2-1. Second half it was a total opposite, but the stupid penalty conceded and justified red card saw Fleet turn it around and win 3-2. Bad loss for City, and that for me was the title gone. Monday I was at the big mid Essex derby between Chelmsford and Braintree. Over 1,700 people saw an absolute borefest of a 0-0, terrible game. Braintree fans throwing stuff on the pitch towards Chelmsford players at full time as well. Safe to say after Wokings win tuesday, I think Braintree have got one hand on the title already. Only tough looking games for them are Farnborough away, the double with Havant and Welling at home. |

FA Trophy Semi Finals
Darlington vs Gateshead Chasetown or Mansfield Town vs Luton Town. I just knew we'd get Darlo. Hopefully I'll still have my club to support then. Dire issues with the stadium at Darlo. The holdings company has gone bust, and theres issues with the chairman trying to organise the level of shareholdings from the previous chairman. End issue is we'll either reduce capacity by turning the pitch round and selling off some land, or move to a new smaller purpose site completely. Can't afford to play in Reynolds ring any longer. Speaking of clubs in trouble, stricken Weymouths chairman George Rolls has walked. They are in danger of folding again. Halesowen back in the news, as one of their co-owners the Inghams dodgy background has been uncovered across the Atlantic. |

On the team coach to Weston, better not get called off this time...
Got a new signing in the squad tonight, Andy Burgess, a quality player at times, but has a reputation of going missing in games if getting kicked |
