A quick Conference round-up...

Crawley are already BSP champions, and drew 1-1 at home to Luton last tuesday. AFC Wimbledon and Luton all seem set for the playoffs. Wrexham look in good shape to secure fourth but still have work to do.
The battle for fifth is very tight between three clubs, with Fleetwood now holding the advantage by four points from a game more. Their match with closest challengers Kidderminster over the Easter weekend is crucial. Yorks shock home defeat to Tamworth means they have a tough ask now.
At the bottom Histon and Eastbourne Boro are down. Altrincham despite a brave fight are set to join them, unless they get reprieved again! Looking like Southport for the final position, now three points behind Forest Green, four behind Tamworth and Cambridge Utd, and five behind Barrow. Hayes & Yeading probably now safe.

In Conf Nth, Gloucester denied Alfreton the title, but they will surely do it at home to already relegated Redditch this weekend.
AFC Telford and Boston stuttering towards the playoffs but should be secure. Two from four then for the remaining places. Nuneaton are fourth but have the fewest games left. Guiseley are fifth with two games in hand on Nuneaton. Eastwood are just two points behind but may be ineligible for the playoffs due to ground issues. Solihull Moors after their fantastic run have just slipped off the pace lately, but are still not quite out of it.
With Redditch already down and Gainsboroughs win ensuring their survival, its a straight fight between managerless Hyde and Stafford for the other relegation place. Hyde have inched two points clear with three games left, but its too close to call.

Braintree are moving closer to the Conf Sth title, four points clear of Farnborough with three games left. Ebbsfleet are virtually assured a playoff place in third now.
Very tight between the next five clubs. Welling and Woking currently occupy the remaining two positions, with Chelmsford slipping out again at the weekend. Dover and Eastleigh are right on their tails as well.
St Albans are already down. Lewes and now Thurrock occupy the remaining two relegation places, with Maidenheads revival almost complete. Bishops Stortford also in the mire, and maybe Dorchester aren't quite safe yet either.

Looks very bleak for Thurrock now. I think it will be between Stortford and Lewes for the final relegation place. Can't see any sign of teams at this level and BSP having off the field issues as it stands.
Stortford were awful on Saturday, gave us so much room in midfield

You have a very tough run-in as well with two horrible away fixtures:
Welling: Thurrock(h), Braintree(a), Basingstoke(h).
Woking: Farnboro(a), Weston(h), Ebbsfleet(a).
Dover: Basingstoke(a), Dartford(a), St Albans(h).
Chelmsford: Ebbsfleet(a), Bromley(h), Hampton(h).
Eastleigh: Boreham Wood(a), Hampton(h), Bromley(a).

Quite fancy Welling from that, then between Eastleigh and Dover on paper. Would say Dover are favourites. Sorry S/N!
Ebbsfleet should have 3rd place secured by the last day, with a view to resting players for the 1st leg, so got a chance there
Dover have got a tough fixture at Dartford, history between the 2 clubs
How Welling lost at St Albans is a mystery too!

Whoops sorry! I guess it will go in the vacant part of the ground?
They are wanting to replace their main stand and clubhouse with this stand, funnily enough Woking had the same idea, but didn't want to risk buying a stand without checking everything was there, building costs, etc etc, obviously F'Boro don't care about that and just went ahead and got it!

FC Halifax have long since secured the Evo-Stik Prem title, over 20 points clear. The race for the playoffs is still very tight though...
Colwyn Bay and FC United are virtually assured of the playoffs, but both lost at the weekend so still need another result to be sure. Buxton and in form Bradford Park Avenue occupy the remaining positions, 1-2 points clear of North Ferriby with a game in hand. Chasetown, Worksop and Marine still have a faint chance of making the top five but its a big ask now.
At the bottom Retford and Ossett Town are down. Burscough are in real trouble, three points from safety with two games left. Probably two from three after that, with revived Frickley winning at mid table Northwich at the weekend to move within GD-2 of safety, with a game in hand on the side immediately above, Hucknall. Nantwich are just two points clear but they have played a game fewer than Hucknall. Whitby are almost safe now. Across the three step 3 leagues the best PPG is here, so even if Frickley finish fourth bottom, Ilkestons demise from BSN and the trickle-down effect post-season could save them.

Could be a nailbiting climax in Div 1 Nth, with reformed Chester in danger of throwing the title away after some indifferent results of late. Skelmersdale are now just a point behind with a game in hand, though their goal difference is -6 to Chesters.
Playoff places outstanding all appear to be sorted. AFC Fylde are third from two more games, with Chorley and Curzon Ashton likely to leapfrog them. None of them are likely to be caught though.
At the bottom poor Leigh Genesis are down, as are Ossett Albion. Leigh only a point behind Ossett though, with second bottom possibly being enough to stay up after AGMs etc.

Stuttering Barwell are limping to the Div 1 Sth title, despite losing at second placed Newcastle Town at the weekend. Newcastle now seven points behind with a game in hand, but with only two games left after that its surely all over.
Very tight for the three remaining playoff places from 3rd to 9th, with Kidsgrove, Rushall and Sutton Coldfield holding the positions for now. Brigg, Grantham and possibly still Carlton are within touching distance, as could Glapwell if they win their game in hand. Rushall do have a game in hand as well that could offer them breathing space.
At the bottom Spalding are down, as are Shepshed, and Spalding will finish bottom, so little hope of a reprieve there.

Didcot may have got a last gasp equaliser at home to the Yeltz on saturday but they will still be kicking themselves.

Weymouths off the field issues could still sink them. Looks like Rolls, who apparently resigned, is still pulling the strings behind the scenes. No sign of anyone in charge at the club board, fans' shares being apparently pocketed by family relatives of Rolls, and complete silence from anyone in authority to repeated requests for information.
That club is a sorry mess isn't it. If ever there was a typical boom and bust club then Weymouth is it.

Look at Sunderland and Everton in the prem. Everton have won the last few dozen games, and Sunderland have lost the last few. If Curzon lose all their games (with an exception of 1 draw) and the Wires win all theirs, we are in the play offs. Sunderland have 1 point from 8/9, Curzon need 1 point from 4. Warrington have easy fixtures.

...Maybe not, but we can hope and sing abusive songs about Curzon.

Bloody Hell, got beat by Prescot today. Gutted.

If Skumersdale get promoted, with Fylde, we have next season in the bag.

Sicknote10 is da man in da know! (He was lucky not to be hit by stray bullets from Chelsea's training ground a few weeks ago.)

Farny grabbed that stand while Woking were still counting the rivets and washers. Considering that in the past Farnborough couldn't even manage to provide hot water to their tea bars, getting a whole stand is ambitious.

This place has an unfair number of Woking fans compared to other clubs now, so I'll just put you down as a Luton fan

The latest comedy turn at The Ingram's amusement park "Halesowen Town".

http://www.halesowennews.co.uk/news/...awsuit/?ref=mr

The day these shameless conmen bugger off away from Halesowen can't come soon enough can it.

No doubt it will all be a misunderstanding and a witch hunt by the almost endless number of people who vexatiously claim they are owed money by these clowns.

Pay what you wish, This is for the last Grimsby Town home game and it means each person can chose to pay the minimum fee of £1.00 or what ever they wish, you can pay more than the normal cost of your seat. It requires a token that was put in last night's local paper and for season ticket holders you get a free seat along with you your own seat. The token will also get a discount on the new season ticket price if bought before the end of June. I have never heard of a club letting the fans decide the cost of entry before. Then again if you have seen Grimsby Town this season the club should pay us to watch them.

QFT

Town's been awful all season, i've been to a few games this season, and the football played was, even for the league, quite bad.

The Mariners were poor under Woods, but at least we got the job done a lot of the under. It seems in Scott and Hurst, Town have got a pair of young Roy Hodgsons, score some goals, then sit back and let the team pound against them, only for the duo to realise that the defence is shite, Arthur isn't nearly as good as he was years ago, and that Croudson is not nearly fit enough to cover full time, even as good a keeper as he was/is.

For a club with not much money it needs a complete re-build around two or three of the current playing staff (I don't count the new kids as they have not slept through the the games that the so cold full timers have) and that will not be cheap. It is amazing that it took about a year for the last mangers to say what this new pair ("Shouty and Quite") noticed after four matches.

FC United have done this for the last 2 seasons with their season tickets.

Thanks for the info I can see it worked for Mansfield so I hope it does the same for Town, cheers!
It has been rather short of numbers at Blundle Park with not many to fall out with so I had better be careful on Saturday. Have a good game to all non league fans.

FC United have done this for the last 2 seasons with their season tickets.
And we've voted to do it again next season It's been a successful initiative, the average price paid per season ticket actually went up when people could choose their own price.

The Warrington Town website (The Real "Town!") seems to have forgotten that we still have games to play this season. The website has already got a few posts on it about next season,

We can still finish 6 and look like we came close, but it sounds like we've given up. Anyway, the new away kit is immense. (Found 50p under my bed a minute ago, so If I continue like this, it should take me an hour to afford the kit. )

Up "The Wires/Yellows", I like the look of at least one your players so all the best from one who has found "The Real Town", so "Up The Mariners" then!

It's just like when the home team get hundreds of home fans to help clear snow off the pitch so the game can go ahead, only to lose by about four goals for their trouble. Football can and does bite you in rear so often it can make you cry.

After the final round of league games in the NPL, the play-off semi-finals (one-off games) are Colwyn Bay v North Ferriby United and Bradford Park Avenue v FC United on Thursday evening.
The final is next Monday at 3.00pm.
(Halifax already promoted as Champions but missed out on getting to 100 points by drawing 0-0 today and finishing on 98 points ...19 clear of 2nd)

Halesowen lost 6-0 to Hednesford this afternoon to finish rock bottom. It was horrible. The manager Shaun Cunnington got sent off second half as well. The players got a rousing round of applause as they came off.

"Interesting Times" ahead in the summer I think.
