Just back from the FA Trophy final which Darlington won with a goal in the 121st minute and I have to say it was by far the worst game of football I have ever seen, both sides were absolutely awful, Darlington deserved the win in the end with the goal coming from their third effort to hit the woodwork (apart from that they hardly did anything al match), Mansfield never even drew a save from their keeper in 120 mins, atmosphere outside the ground was fantastic though with both sets of fans (25'000) mixing very well, congrats to any Darlo fans on here.

I agree it was an awful game but that is the single greatest moment I've had as a football supporter. Absolutely fantastic! |

Absolutely fantastic! , I haven't spoken to one Mansfield fan who didn't think that Darlo deserved their win.Where did you go before the match ? I ended up at the travel lodge at the end of Wembley way where both sets of supporters were, I went to the designated Mansfield boozer first but I don't think they were prepared for us, there were probably a thousand supporters there and only 4 staff

Hopefully AFC Wimbledon can win in the play-offs and gain promotion to the Football League. They've done well to rise through the non league pyramid to get within 2 games of reaching the Football League.

The BSQ Play-off fianl between AFC Wimbledon and Luton is being played at the City of Manchester Stadium (Man City's ground)
The ticket prices are outrageous £36 and £41 PLUS a booking fee as tickets can only be bought from the leagues' authorised agencies !! How to rob faithful supporters. Bad enough 2 'southern' teams having to travel miles up north (usually the other way round) but this would put the cost at a family of 4 past the reaches of lots of ordainary fans |

Checking in at this thread after about a year away!
I'm a Wycombe fan so we have non league roots, indeed the first 2 years of my support were in the GM Vauxhall Conference. I miss it to be honest, though not as much as I am missing real, live football now. Hope AFC Wimbledon go up this year, another step closer to the Franchise |

Congratulations to AFC Telford.
This club has enormous potential, I expect them to do well next season and to be in the football league withing 5 years. |

They probably go pop again like the last club that played in Telford did.

Telford United went pop because the owner got divorced and his wife took half his assets, so can't see them having a problem like that again

Telford is now owned by the fans, not by an individual owner though. They have a good stadium as well.
I would have thought if Shrewsbury Town can be a league club, they could be as well. |

Probably even better than being owned by the club, its owned by Telford and Wrekin Council (Source Wikipedia.)

We had our victory parade in town today, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-13485352.
![]() Surprised if the amount of people there didn't top four figures though when they mention hundreds, mind you it was quite early this morning to avoid clashing with the races. |

Unrelated to anything, as you may know I do a radio show on a Monday night, an alternative music show, following me is a Rugby League talk show.
Anyway, the show following had a few guests on. Couple of them were York City fans. Posting this in case they post on here or anyone knows them

Step 6 in Kent. Any other leagues named after (former) Rugby League teams?
