As well as supporting Manchester United F.C I also have an equally passionate support for Prestwich Heys AFC a local non-league amatuer club who play in the Manchester Premier Division which is the 11th tier down the league.
Heys just managed to avoid the drop this season with a win on the final game to keep them up in the top division. I would say that Prestwich Heys main ambitions is to get into the North West Counties and become a solid side in that division. |

He was great for us (FC United of Manchester) last season. Unfortunately he's chosen to take Halifax's shilling for next season in Conference North.

Give me a shout if you've got any more gems like Scott McManus playing there. Pretty cool that a lad who was at Crewe Alex in the league found himself playing for Prestwich

Rushden and Diamonds kicked out of the Conference
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13738222.stm Means teams below now re-allocated to different leagues and this means that Southport will avoid relegation. Bishop Stortford swap from South to North Edit: Sorry just found the other thread on this. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1489804 |

The release of the fixtures for the Conference,as well as the preliminary rounds of the FA Cup and FA Trophy, have now been delayed until at least Wednesday due to Rushden's appeal against their expulsion from the Conference. (source: BBC News).

Finally, the real fixtures are out.
Opening up with Kiddie away, possible tough tie to kick start things. |

New to the non-league thread are Stockport County who have a new owner and manager.

Rushden have gone into administration. The administrator says they're no longer in a position to continue trading and a club official said they were expected to enter into receivership.

Typical
2 - 0 up and looking like we're going to win our first pre-season friendly this year, against a side 2 divisions up, and the match gets cancelled. |

After the Carlisle washout, we've went on a bit of a friendly winning streak.
True, they've been lower teams, but compared to last pre-season when we didn't win a single one, it's an improvement. The new signings are looking impressive too. |

Apparently Boro were trying to sign Welling's Jack Parkinson, but he declined the move in order to continue running a business or something, anyone here know anything about him to know how he would have done in League One? |

Anyone know if "The None League Football Show" on Radio London has been dropped for a longer sports show or just moved from it's Monday night slot?

How have Yemi Odubade and Eddie Odhiambo been for you? I think you did well to sign Yemi, and I think he would have stayed at Stevenage had we not got promoted to League One, where he would probably be out of his depth a little.

Forest Green 1-1 Stockport to kick off the season.
I also notice tommorow's live game between AFC Telford and Luton has been postponed as a result of the riots which is a shame. Too late for another match to be moved for TV as well. |

The EDL march has now been cancelled, but too late to reinstate the game |

Still 11 minutes to go, but 3-0 up against Mansfield at the moment.
As I type, Naylor for Mansfield sent off. |
