First Warrington home of the season, 2 - 0 loss to Curzon. Players boo'd off at the end. Can see why (Just won 5-1 away after being 1-0 down at half time, couldn't repeat at home), but I think that we are turning into Arsenal, All passing, no shooting.

On Sunday I bought "The Non-League" football paper for the first time and it is by far the best football paper I have ever read even with the price of £1.50, it is worth every penny. I look forward to next Sunday and the next issue.
Second well done Braintee Town in giving my team Grimsby Town a lesson in the basics of football, just because they are part-time players who may well have to go to work on Wednesday whilst the Mariners will do a bit of training and then down to the pub and the betting shop then home and watch the box till bed-time calls them. So far 0 goals for and 7 against after two played so any one got a spade to help us dig our way out the hole we are falling in to? New team almost, same poor lack of pride performance though, strange eh?

Good win for FC United tonight, a 6-3 home win over North Ferriby United.

Do you mind checking whether Warrington Town (Or their league in general) gets a mention?

If yes, how much? What about FC United and Chester?

Thanks

Burscough 1-4 Chester

Good to get our first win after a disappointing result at the weekend. Honestly must have only been about 20/30 home fans though, they are playing at Skem this season.

I also notice tommorow's live game between AFC Telford and Luton has been postponed as a result of the riots which is a shame. Too late for another match to be moved for TV as well.
The Telford v Luton game was never due to be on TV. The match was moved originally to 12:00 to avoid a clash with the EDL idiots. Then the Police (West Mercia) decided this wasn't enough of a move and they shifted it to 19:45. Then, after the riots, they decided resources were too scarce and forced a postponement. For the final coup de grace the Home Secretary then told the EDL morons that they couldn't have their march after all so nothing happened in Telford that day.

we lost 2-0 to afc wimbledon

3rd bottom now,i remember the days when plymouth were mighty..well not mighty but pretty decent side.

our luck has to change
Are Plymouth fans so fatalistic about the new season they are already posting in the thread for non league fans?!?

Actually, I have to correct the above post. I've got a friend in the police down there and the problem wasn't the EDL - they jusy act like monkeys in one place, very controllable. It's the UAF scum they attract that is always the issue as they are "a mixmatch of wierdos and violent ethnic groups with no self policing/control". So not everything you read in the Guardian is accurate.

*Waves from the York City promotion train* We look immense so far.

Evo-Stik NPL North and South both have all matches reported in the NLP. One match in each division is selected as the feature and gets a longer report and pictures.

As for NPL Prem - similar story. One game is featured at 450 words and pics whilst all others are reported in 220 words (or so).

It is a great read and well worth the £1.50

Disclaimer - although not employed by the NLP I may provide match reports for them from time to time

There's a bit of a kerfuffle going on in Sunderland today, but the big game in the North East is at the International Stadium where Gateshead take on Kettering.

Can Gateshead make it 3 out of 3 and retain top spot?

Chisholm's are offering 11-10 that we can!

3rd here too, after a 0-0 yesterday against Boreham Wood
First game I've been pitch side to do photos and nothing bloody happens...

Away to Eastleigh on Tuesday, who are currently bottom of the table, they've got a couple of experienced players but the rest are full-time kids
Academy season starting to get busy too, got a reserve game against Hampton on Wednesday, and an u18 game on Thursday to go to, busy busy!

Something always happens!

Some people sit on stools, I sit on my ass it gives a much better perspective, especially the bit at Whaddon which is below pitch level, like this - http://www.tigerroar.co.uk/spf/webbwukkie.jpg

So this has to be a joke or what? When the riots took place the Non-League show on Radio London was replaced with more news and I asked if the football show was finnished. The reply was to the effect that it would be back next week. It was, now this is where I go bonkers, this week the BBC say that the show on Monday can not be heard on the BBCi Player for whatever reason. I will ask the same question once more then. Is the Non-League radio show that goes out on Radio London no longer to be heard on the BBCi player? I think the show is great, when I can hear it, that is.
We won a game, We won but I wont mention that the ref just about gave us the win, one of those fussy book 'em or send 'em off for nothing twits. Up the mariners!

I've never listened to the BBC London Non League Show, however, NLS is still active on Twitter, so it certainly seems like it's still going.

I don't know why it isn't on iPlayer but you can listen to it by going to the non league show's website. You can stream it from there or download the podcast.

Gateshead won 2-1 today, slipped down to second on goal difference, but I can live with that.

Bedlington Terriers on the other hand, see for yourself!

The Non League banter page on Facebook has the final BSP table looking like this come May.

1st Wrexham
2nd Gateshead
3rd Luton
4th York
5th Fleetwood
6th Braintree
7th Darlo

What do you think?
