I see Morrell Maison's latest adventure has taken a well practised swerve. He's now going to be behind the scenes at kettering instead of manager. God help them.

I want Boston United back up in the same league as Grimsby Town, Lincoln City and Scunthorpe United in as high a league as possible as they are often good games with little travell for all the fans. Question for you "dotask":
What is Boston United's nickname?
Do you ever go to see Boston FC and what is their nickname?
Where do they play their home matches?
Don't they play in the same division as Grimsby Borough Reserves?

Grimsby are in the Conference, Lincoln are in League 2 and Scunthorpe are League 1, so that might take a while

Boston United are in the Blue Square Bet North.
Grimsby Town are where?
Lincoln City are where?
They are both In the Blue Square Bet Premier League and yes Scunthorpe are in League 1.
I was just dreaming of what could be. Four local teams together in one league would be great though.

not a bad start for my non league club, boston united. lost some key players over the summer and midtable is my expectation. got 11 points after 7 games, defence looks solid but were very weak up front at the moment. just need to win at home soon and hope we can do that against solihull this weekend. hyde and stalybridge are cruising at the moment, could do with them slipping up but hyde in paticular are winning most games easily.
great to see gateshead doing well in the prem. im sure they are not expected so stay at the top end but well done to them on their start.
Hyde 8 out of 8 now,, but they've got a tough derby game away at Droylsden tomorrow night, if they win that then maybe only Stalybridge can stop them. Having said that for the last few seasons they've started poorly and recovered in the second half of the season, hopefully it won't be the other way round this time.

Now nine out of nine, Droylsden 2 Hyde 3.

Cant wait to run in to Hyde now next week.

Not really bothered about the Cheshire Cup mind you, we'll rest a fair few players. We're on fire ourselves right now after a dodgy start, up to 4th and scoring for fun and Wilde's return is imminent.

No game for us tomorrow as it's an FA Cup day and we're still not allowed in.

Anyone got any experience with the Combined Counties/Northwest Counties leagues? Is it worth following Town down there for £20?

Blyth v Bedlington should be a great game in the FA Cup 2nd qual round. Two local teams against each other should make for a great atmosphere. The Blyth v Whitley Bay games in 2006 were both excellent games with a great atmosphere.

A stinker for the Stags today and much discontent is being shown towards the "youngest chief exec in football" it seems nobody is happy with her being there and it has nothing to do with her being a woman.

Despite nearly losing a 3 goal advantage, just feels good to be back to winning ways.

Just a shame Croft Park is such a dump

So a draw today and back being top of the league
We're coming for you on Tuesday.

We have a thing about beating current leaders by 3-0 Last season we beat you 3-0 at your place, and in 1995 we had this run of results at this time of year:

Manchester United 0-3 York City
Hull City 0-3 York City.
Scunthorpe 0-3 York City.

So Tuesday will be a 0-0 draw then

Will happily take a draw, but over-confidence is breeding after beating both Luton and Wrexham 3-0, with a 2-2 draw against Darlo which should have been a win.

Some vids to worry you

3-0 up at Wrexham within 25 minutes:

Walker - amazing signing - scoring a wondergoal last week:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wORKw_6aOdQ

Should be bringing 500-700 to your place, including me

Always wondered. If you drew Man Utd in the Cup, could you literally use all the spare seats and fill the place? I think we brought 400-500 tonight and it was only a splattering on that side.

You look very good. Granted, we played crap tonight (typical lack of consistency) and it was always going to be another former player coming back to haunt us (that's the fourth former player to score against us this season), but Odhiambo or whatever his name is was the main problem, along with Gilles.

Thought we'd made it 3-3 in injury time. Wouldn't of deserved it though.

Some of the lads said they spoke with Shaw after the game, trying to get him back to York Apparently he would have signed at the time, but Sheff Weds didn't want to let him go other than on loan at the time. You also turned down 40K from Luton in pre-season, which pleases me Is reasonably sure he'll be sold in the winter as he's only got six months left on his contract by then. Would have to be a league club.

Always a warm club, Gateshead. Refreshing compared to the likes of Luton who seem to go on suicide watch every time they don't win 5-0.

Very tight league!

Getting giddy? you're only 8th .............. that could turn into 10th by 10 o'clock if Matlock beat North Ferriby and FC United beat Whitby tonight.

I missed our home game with Rushall but by all accounts they came with no attacking ambition at all - parked the bus! They got the 0-0 they wanted though so fair play to them. Hopefully they're a bit more entertaining and attack-minded at home?

Not sure that I completely understand the question .......... and it might now be out of date but anyway, for what it's worth here's my considered view If I were you I'd try to hold out for £30 and a free programme

I know that there is a bit of a gap to the play-offs, but one can hope can't they?!

It would be good for Cheshire if the Vics won the league, and it came down to Chester v Nantwich in the play-off final. with the Dabbers winning! (One is allowed to dream! )

My local club is Alfreton Town who last season got promoted to the Blue Square Premier, not doing to well this year. Anyway, I live in a place called Blackwell and they've got a team (i'm hoping to join soon!) in the 10th (I think) level of english football, they're doing better so far this year than normal, when i was younger i used to go to every one of their home matches with a mate who trained with the team!
