In a bit of a strange game, we lost 3-2 to Harrogate Town last night.

Beat Hartlepool 5-3 today.

I know it's only pre-season, but good result against a League Two side.

Grimsby beat Notts County 3-0 today. I know it's pre season but it sounds like Grimsby were in top form

I have always liked Gateshead F.C. was gutted when they lost out in playoffs. Lets get into the league this time lads. Another North-East club in the league would be great.

I dont know how many leagues Darlington are down, but I hope its not too far away (ground standard permitting of course)

All the best to Gateshead and Darlington this season.

Looking forward to the Northern League starting again soon (it's the second oldest league in the world, don't you know )

Some pictures of North Shields FC, winners of last seasons FA Vase.

Cheers Garry.

I'd like to get into the league this season as well. Still, Wembley was a fantastic day out a couple of years ago.

Yes, best of luck to the Heed.
New owners and manager so a new era for the club, but not much for a while about a possible new stadium, are they going cold on the idea ?
Mind you the International Stadium is non-too-shabby just not ideal for football.

I actually agree with you on that one.

I do have an emotional attachment to the GIS, basically because that's where I've followed my team for oh so many years, but with the athletics track around the pitch, you can easily feel separated from the match action.

There has been talk for years about us getting our own ground as opposed to just using a council owned place, but I'm not really sure what's happening with that right now.

Started the season with a 2-1 win away at Aldershot. 1-0 down for most of the game and then two goals in a minute from Ryan Bowman.

So glad the season is back.

Good opening day win for Tooting & Mitcham in the Ryman South. 2-1 victory away to East Grinstead. Hopefully there will be a promotion push this season.

First home game on Tuesday night against Corinthian Casuals.

It's nice to have an unbeaten streak at the start of the season.

Sadly, we don't have one as we got stuffed by Tranmere last night.

Absolutely played off the park. Hopefully bounce back this weekend.

Ryan Bowman again, with two.

Came back from 1-0 down against Boreham Wood to win 2-1.

6 points from the first 9? I'll take that.

Well that hope has soon been extinguished. A 3-0 midweek home defeat to Corinthian Casuals followed up by another 3-0 home defeat today against Walton Casuals. Awful.

Brilliant game today at Nantwich, we won 6-3 after being 2-0 down to Stamford, they finished with 10 men as well after a late horrific challenge to give us a penalty and the chance to score the 6th (which we duly did).

Although we should have scored at least 10, as we had so many clear opportunities that we wasted, their centre-backs were useless.

A comprehensive 4-1 win for Tooting & Mitcham last night over Phoenix Sports in the Robert Dyas League Cup 1st Round. A much needed morale booster.

He is. He left, but then was resigned after a season.

2-1 loss at Walton & Hersham today for T&M. And that after leading. The dismal league start continues, 3 defeats from 4.

I have just seen. Two players on their way to the match yesterday. Desperately sad news, two young guys, as was the personal trainer too, all just going about their daily lives.

Terribly sad news

Two footballers and a personal trainer have been named among the victims of the Shoreham Airshow crash on Saturday.

Worthing United footballers Matthew Grimstone and Jacob Schilt are thought to have been on their way to play a match against Loxwood FC when they were caught up in the disaster.

Just heard about what happened in Shoreham yesterday and that two footballers were caught up in it. Terrible news.

We've recently had an airshow in the North East. I went, I like airshows, you don't expect this sort of stuff happening though.

The draw for the FA Cup First Qualifying round was made earlier today. Happy with your team's draw?
