Thanks all. Ticket prices at the moment are going to be frozen (its currently £10 a game and £180 for a season ticket) which is good value and probably the lowest in the league?
Hopefully this will attract more fans as historically we have struggled with attendances (roughly got between 400-600 a game) although some games we got between 700-900. I think with the travelling fans of some of the "bigger" clubs in the league next season its going to make for a great atmosphere!
Be weird seeing our games as a policing category game now instead of zero police presence. Think there is also a bit of work needed doing to the stadium (new pa system, more turnstiles, toilets, seating) but hopefully we can get there!

Big day at Wembley today with both the FA Vase and FA Trophy taking place in a double header

Morpeth Town v Hereford FC

and

Grimsby v Halifax

48,000 tickets sold so far and hopefully it will go over 50,000

Hereford have sold 19,000 which is incredible

Tickets are £25, £10 concessions and £1 for u-16;s

Terrific pricing strategy that will enable youngsters to experience the Wembley magic for a pound

The aim is to try and get more than the England game which was (cruelly) scheduled for the same day

Come on Morpeth for the Vase.

I'm not sure who I'd prefer for the Trophy. Halifax who knocked us out, or Grimsby, who we do have a history with.

I was at Wembley for the 1st match. A great afternoon and a really good family friendly atmosphere. I'll be going again next year.

Confused here. What has Radford got to do with Morpeth?

I know, he played for Hereford when they beat Newcastle Utd in the FA Cup, but this is Morpeth Town. Do they have a history as well?

Quite impressed with our new signings so far.

Rumours that we're after Shola Ameobi as well. Not sure what I think of that.

After 5 extremely successful years, North ferriby United's manager Billy Heath and assistant (Bobby) Mark Carroll have decided to take up an offer with FC Halifax Town.

Can only be for more money I guess as Ferriby have just replaced Halifax in the Conference National

Presumably because Evesham don't want to be in the NPL

Pre Season is finally upon us. Gateshead are away to our neighbours Dunston UTS tonight.

Sadly, I'm not there, but obviously cheering on the Heed.

Good news for local coverage

The BBC Local Radio stations across England and Wales have signed an agreement with the National League to continue to provide coverage of the leagues’ matches until 2020.

The agreement will cover all 68 member clubs in three divisions, known as the National League, National League North and the National League South.

Welcoming the announcement Jason Horton, BBC Head of Sport for England said:

“The deal with the National League demonstrates the BBC local radio stations commitment to bring sports fans across England and Wales all the sporting action from their area. So whether you’re tuning in to BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s coverage of Lincoln City, listening to BBC Radio Solent reporting on Eastleigh or following one of the other 66 clubs across The National League we’ll be bringing you the latest action.”

Brian Barwick, Chairman at The National League said:

“The National League is pleased to confirm our existing partnership has been extended until 2020. This will permit continuing stadium access with match commentary, thus complementing the excellent support given generally by BBC Local Radio stations covering all 68 member clubs and their local communities".

Next season The National League North features six Greater Manchester based sides: FC United, Altrincham, Curzon Ashton, Salford City, Stalybridge Celtic and Stockport County which BBC Radio Manchester will cover as part of the agreement.

We've been in more pre-season action.

Won 3-0 away to Blyth Spartans
Won 4-0 away to Berwick Rangers
Lost 2-1 to Bradford City at home.

Happy with all three results. Obviously, the wins are great, but 2-1 against a League One side is very respectable in my opinion. I wish the Bantams a safe journey back to Yorkshire.

Tough start for FC United tomorrow with a trip to old foes Chorley getting our season underway

This will be the 16th time we've met them in our relatively short existence
