I don't know what the rest of the country's like today but if the cams were working you'd see a beautifully snowy village!!! Snow in late Feb.... now that really IS going to mess with continuity. Current scenes being filmed won't be airing until the start of April-ish!

No, where I live it has been heavy rain. As for your snow, well I suppose it happens with other years filming because it is still only February so snow is not unexpected really. It could even snow in March and April!
I remember one Easter we were visiting the North East (Benton in Newcastle) and it was bitterly cold and was snowing the day we left to go home!

Hello amy, thanks for your pictures. What a lot! I hope you are well and your job is still going ok. The woolpack cam isn't so good. The picture is so dark you can't make out anybody.

I remember watching a cricket match in July 1977 at Sunderland in the North East and it started to snow! Durham were playing against The Australian team . There was Dennis Lillee, Jeff Thomson etc. I don't think the Aussies were very happy playing in the cold!

It was heavy yes we had about 5 inches thick settle on the ground but not it has all just about gone, temperatures came above freezing late yesterday afternoon and started to melt it all.

You don't expect snow in July anywhere in the UK but it goes to show that we did have freak weather in those days before all of the talk of global warming!
I have just been checking that Cricket match and it was actually on 4th and 5th August, a 2 day match!!. We still have the scorecard: Minor Counties V Australia. Jeff Thomson and Dennis Lillee were there but not playing!

Yes I have seen pictures of the snow all around the north - areas like Derbyshire, Sheffield etc. It did say that it won't stay for long as rain is coming to wash it away.
