Have to agree eegirl it does all seem a bit wrong doesn't it- I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it comes across on screen. It may come across more sympathetic than it makes it sound. I suppose on the flipside you could argue Bradley wouldn't have wanted her to keep all this bottled up and to go through it alone so maybe that's the way we have to try and justify it lol!

Stacey!!!! Not impressed with you at all!!! Go back on those meds!!! Don't think there's any other explanation for her cold exchange with Dot tonight really- that was just plain cruel and I really didn't like the way she was so dismissive of Bradley being the father at all. Can only put it down to not being on the meds because on Friday she clearly still felt v much for him and your feelings don't change just like that.

Looking forward to the rest of the week though- should be some good stuff.

See Lacey, Gillian and Jake are at the awards- no sign of our boy though.

The word that came into my mind when she callously told Dot the baby had nothing to do with her was 'bitch' I'm afraid.

Find it so hard to remind myself that it's probably not being on the meds - I did wonder if watching Ryan and how he seemed to be having fun made her realise she would rather him as the father than sensible Bradley. Lets face it Ryan is probably more akin to the way she would like to live life but I wonder if he'd been placed in Bradley's position of finding out Stacey was pregnant with another man's child and suffering from BP whether he would have stuck by her - I doubt it, think very few men would, just goes to show just how much he loved her.

TBH the way I try and justify it all in my mind is she is acting this way because Bradley is no longer there. It is my belief that if he was still around then they would have moved elsewhere to start a new life after all the Archie stuff and have got away from Walford so none of this would be an issue- because Mummy, Daddy and Lily would all be elsewhere and happy. I think half the issue with Ryan is because she is bumping in to him all the time and stuff. I still believe it's about Lily having a father figure as opposed to anything to do with Stacey's feelings for Bradley and I do stand by their final scenes being her genuine feelings. That scene on Friday spoke volumes where she was sat there covered in the ashes and a total wreck. She still harbours a lot of guilt where Bradley is concerned I think and deep down she knows that no-one will ever match up to him. She's just afraid to admit it to herself and being off the meds heightens that if you get me. I thought the comments to Jean about lies were very telling.

That's more like it Mrs B! Was much happier with what we saw tonight. Didn't feel quite so much of a betrayal as it came across on paper I didn't think- more like the guilt over people thinking badly of him eating her up which I find a nice touch. The scene with Max was excellent and how absolutely gorgeous is Lily! Love how they've cast a baby who looks a bit like Lacey- very clever!

Really isn't going to be right when Stacey goes It's the denial think I think. I think all the time she's there it feels like there's still a part of Bracey there but once she goes that's it- their story will well and truly be over and we'll be forced to admit it to ourselves .

Just shows what difference having a decent writer makes - what we saw yesterday with her callously telling Dot the baby wasn't Bradey's just wasn't Stacey. Even off her meds I don't think she would have just spat it out like that - pretty sure she'd have had some thought for Dot's feelings or maybe I'm wrong. Simon Ashdown has more of a feel for the characters and I just feel if he'd writter last nights episode he'd have made some comment about Bradley always wanting the truth as well, although I suppose the line tonight where she said 'they both lied' rather makes a mockery of it Wonder if Dot's remark about the true father not knowing is part of the reason she decides to tell Ryan.

I have to admit to shedding a tear for Dot when she wiped away her tears after saying her heart was broken. Those who truly loved Bradley will be devasted that the little part of him they thought they had in Lily has been taken from them. How cute is that baby smiling away on Lacey's lap

Well it's now official Charlie is not in the line up for SCD. Surprised at Scott taking part, thought EE had stoped them, although if the rumour that they were having problems getting contestants is correct I suppose the Beeb could have put pressure on them. Looking on the bright side, think there is a serious possibility of seeing our boy in the audience at some point with both Scott and Kara competing and him being friends with them both

After last nights revelation and Janine's fears of being abandoned my initial thoughts were that she might find out that Stacey was the killer and give her an ultimatum, leave the square or I phone the police but I'm now completely confused especially if Lacey isn't to leave until 2011

Been thinking about this! I've been assuming they kidnapped Lily because of the media speculation we had with the previous pics but I suppose there is every chance that Stacey allows Ryan access and this happens on a 'day out'.

After reading spoiler about tomorrow and Peggy threatening to call the police, it would seem it's after this that Stacey corners Ryan. Now thinking the reason she tells him may be because she is afraid she'll end up in prison and she wants Lily to have at least one parent around.

Knew it the rumours were too good to be true! Like you say though- every possibility he'll be in the audience! Seems he & Scott have grown fairly close since the live....

As for the Ryan/Janine/Lily stuff- well after 4 years of random Bracey teasers turning out to be nothing like they transpired on screen I'm just going to hang fire till official spoilers emerge before assuming anything. As always there are several possibilities and scenarios that could have lead to this so it's just a case of wait and see as the great man always says really. Don't think we've had anything confirmed as to an exit date for Lacey/Gillian as yet (I am still working on the basis that they will be going together)

On a happier note- Stacey and Lily are officially now Brannings on the EE website

Evening Joy - so pleased they have finally officially made them 'Brannings' and I have to say the one thing about the Sun spoiler today that I noticed was that they referred to her as Stacey Branning rather than Slater as is the norm.

As you say, these things rarely work out the way we expect and tbh I can't actually see Janine wanting to be a 'mother' or Ryan taking her, I don't think he'd have any reason as I can't really see Stacey refusing access. I'm pretty sure that after this week Stacey will be back on her meds, I think Jean has worked it out and Max certainly knows - I'd imagine the repercussions of her actions i.e Peggy threatening to go to the Police would be enough to bring her to her senses but as always this is EE and who knows!

See yesterdays webcam dated 4th Nov. involved Jean so I would presume Stacey is still there as well - pretty sure they will leave together.

See from the Brian interview on the website we're looking at the end of the year so I'd take a punt on their exit being the Christmas storyline myself.

Today's not been bad thanks. One of the big bosses at work is having her retiring do tomorrow so we've been going mad trying to organise that! It's always more work than you anticipate. On top of that they still haven't recruited anyone to take over my old job so I'm still juggling things like a circus acrobat at the minute but I'll get there in the end hopefully!

Lol know what you mean about SCD- suppose in that respect we should just be glad that he's not competing! Can you imagine how much we'd all be spending then haha!!

Think you could be right Joy, from what BK says it does seem to point that way and could be why we haven't been given any definite dates. Obviously they'll want to give her the exit she deserves and it would have to be on a par with Charlie's and how do you top that?

Have just read your article - excellent as expected and it hilighted some of the short-sightedness from tptb who could have invested more time in such a fantastic character. I can certainly see why Charlie decided to leave when he did and even though he said he never intended staying longer than 4 yrs I do wonder if they had given him more meatier s/l's, especially in the aftermath of the reveal, whether he may have stayed at least a year longer and left with Lacey!

Enjoying the fanfic - can just see Charlie saying/doing what I'm reading

Have to admit I quite often watch stuff and think I wonder what Charlie would think of this - or Charlie would have been better cast in this. I put it down to withdrawal symptoms and I think the only known cure is to see our gorgeous ginge on our screens again

Think you're right though - Bradley probs would love it but then again he wasn't very good with horror stuff was he. Always remember him hiding behind that cushion
