Hello Girls.
![]() Just thought I would pop in, if you remember me ( ) and say our beautiful baby Samuel arrived on Friday 13th May at 0433 weighing 7lbs8oz. It was a long 22 hours of labour, with 2 1/2 hours of pushing with just G&A for the first part and nothing for the second, but it was the most pleasurable experiences of my life, and an absolute dream birth. Samuel has been an absolute star, and is eating and sleeping brilliantly - I couldn't possibly be any happier. Hope all is well with everyone. xx Congratulations, and blow a huge raspberry on Samuel's tummy from his cyber aunty batty. ![]() KJ - I don't really know what that means and I'm not enjoying what my imagination is coming up with.

FB's loss, but I can understand Sooty and Sweep wanting to preserve their privacy.

((((((BG))))) for your mother troubles. I can understand your distress ove what happened.
I hope that someone is able to give you the help you all need very soon.SP: I'm glad that Young Sad and Sad Dog are ok although your dooor isn't. ![]() Iggy: How terrible things have been for you lately with your car/gate and other problems. ![]() Congrats to the 24/7s and their baby Samuel. All the best for the three of you. And welcome 24/7 to the Mother's Club.![]() KJ: Your piggie posts just now give me a little giggle. Thanks, I need that. Has anyone heard from Laura lately? I hope she's doing ok. (I want a worried smiley right now.)We've been fine dining on Mc Donald's tonight. Neither of us could be bothered to cook tonight although Mr.Home did make his daily salad for us. Maybe it'll counteract some of the bad MaccyD stuff. The afghan is finished, washed, dried and looking beautiful on my chair. The dust levels in here have returned to normal. |

I've always found euro-maccy-D to be better quality than UK/US. I do them seldom, but hey. |

That's a major milestone in toilet training. Keep up the positive reinforcement on this achievement and you're nearly done with day-time training. Go Melony!

@Handymelon - You must be so pleased but a little bit sad you missed her "going all by herself" . Kids have a knack of doing that sort of thing though.

Oh @Handymelon . I was with The Slavettes almost 24/7 and everytime I left them with someone else ... they done something. I missed the first tooth, first step, first "asking for the potty" with all of them. First Mammy/Mummy .... stranger in the toilets at Fenwicks in Newcastle. I did hear this though and almost pulled my jeans up before I was DONE.
N.B. The Stranger in the toilet also had a pram with a small child strapped in - I trusted her . I also kept an eye on her little one while she went for a pee Himself and I moved many miles from our families, and to a different country when #1 was 2 and a bit and #2 was just under a year. We had no-one and knew no-one to babysit. I couldn't believe I missed out on the BIG things in my babies life. Himself was there when #2 took her first steps, my neighbour was minding #3 as I had to unexpectedly go get #1 from school when she was ill and she witnessed her asking for the potty for the first time. I have to say that my neighbour made such a fuss about the potty thing that #3 wanted to go show next door everytime she had a pee pee in the potty for ages after. |

Well, we've been busy doing not very much snOwy - much needed. Another week from hell is brewing up but I refuse to even think about it until Monday morning.
I might be in a bit of a moody tomorrow night, though, so just ignore me.

We've been swimming and it were fab. Only Melony's second time and already she can do a splashy but solo doggy-paddle for about ten yards. I know I'm bragging a bit, but I love that gutsy, try-anything side of her that means she just laughs and splutters and starts again when she goes under the water. When we got into the foyer afterwards she spotted a rack of goggles, and is now the proud owner of a pair of blue ones "for next time". Daddy's swimming is getting loads better, too!

@Handymelon I'm sooooo Jealous. I remember all those great times with the Slavettes and I want to do it all again. You and Mr M really relish and enjoy the times at the pool and the potty stuff 'cos before you know it they are all grown up.
It's a wonderful time to be a Mummy and Daddy. |
