We've just caught up on watching The Walking Dead. Brillliant, brilliant series, but I now look like this ----->
It may take a while to wear off...

Hump Day hugs for all.
(((GOW)))))))
It's a bit lop-sided since my left arm hurts today. (still waiting for the thunderstorm that I've been feeling for the past few days.)

The weird weather here in Amsterdam continues.....

I'm sticking close to home for the next couple of days anyway waiting for packages to be delivered so watching lots of tv and surfing the 'net. and generally being very productive.

We missed the beginning of that so a box set is planned. And we're just catching up on Heroes. People told me to watch it ages ago but we never bothered... but it's quite good. See me@, I could easily get to be as productive as you.

But not today. I'm ploughing through what I need to do and me eye is firmly fixed on Friday. I can't wait for my first Friday PG, that one around 6pm, maybe in the garden... *sigh*

She took a year off after sixth form and works for a well known fast food chain. I'm positive she gets the stupid shifts as we only live a mile away and she can walk there. She finished at 3am the other day.

I am ashamed to admit I had a minor hairy fit earlier. The cause of the hairy fit was tomatoes. Himself has taken himself off out the way of me and dogs went and hid at the back of the shed.

I really want to know what the tomatoes did

Two days until half term... on my knees... and probably have to work through most of it but at least I won't be AT work.

The tomatoes were on my plate. It was a big thing at the time.

Still feeling very ashamed.

Happens to us all, Pixie! And I like the phrase "hairy fit"

Had my Year 11 class all together for the last time today, so I bought them some crisps and things and they gave me some chocs and everybody wrote me a little message. Twas nice. They've been a bit of a handful as a group, but lots of nice individuals. Shall miss them.

And Mr M was late in tonight, so Melony and I fitted in making a green jelly before tea. She did suggest drinking some for pudding, but oddly enough this suggestion was vetoed...

Afternoon grumpies, knackered and otherwise...

Horrible weather here - really cold and peeing down. It's just as well I'm stuck indoors, working.

Almost Friday, though!!!

'Evening Grumpies.

The strange weather continues here. I've been invited to two birthday parties held in different parks in different parts of the city for Saturday and was having trouble deciding which to go to or whether to try to go to both for a bit . I don't think it's going to be an issue the way this weather has been.

I've just made the worst popcorn ever and am lucky that neither of us has broken a tooth.

I have just skirted round the most horrendous traffic I've seen in ages ... vibes to anyone on the M1 northbound or anywhere around Northampton right now - I feel your pain...

One more day....

((((HM)))) I miss that about class teaching - don't get time to build up much of a relationship in my job.

Batty - glad you've been knuckling down

Me@ - I used to love making popcorn years ago, haven't done it for ages.

Pixie.... I still want to know what the tomatoes did

((((KJ))) You're allowed an off-day. I could never be half as witty as you are, it's hard work.

I had Horrible Afternoon from Planet Horrible today - kids were all daft, suddenly found out a job I thought was all tied up and sorted had to have something else done for it urgentrly, had to ring the childminder and ask if she could hang onto M so I could stay behind and do it, so by the time I picked M up she was a total dog-face. Gah!

Saved by my lovely hubby, who sent me upstairs for a rest after tea and did M's evening routine, may the Lord bless him!

And it's been piddling down most of the afternoon.

Half term in eighteen hours time...

... and counting

Hate days like that. ((((Melons))))

Am a bit as tomorrow, Little Saddette is off on a 4 hour coach journey to stay with the boyfriend. I know she's 17 but she's still my baby. And I'll miss her

You big softie! *mmmwah!*

I can't believe how grown-up your kids and batboy are getting! They were all pre-teens when I first met you guys, and now look at them!

By the time mine is that age I'll need a bloody Zimmer frame!

(((Sad))) She'll be fine, but it ain't half scary for us mums of new adults.

And yes handy, I can't believe it either, especially when I get a slightly prickly kiss when he's forgotten to shave and I fit right under his chin and need to go onto tippytoes to get it.

Now that *is* scary, batty - you're not exactly a little short'ouse like me, are you?

We're utterly, utterly knackered - Melony had earache last night, and we were both up at three, then I was up again at half four and half five (sob) and Mr M has been solo with her all day! My turn to let him go for a snooze tonight while I ran tea, telly-with-milk and getting ready for her bath. Now I just want to sleep for a week - thank the Lord it's Saturday tomorrow!
