KJ - Mr M would like me to tell you that Melony also does the horse-snort exhalation as an expression of disgust

batty - what bloody love life?
Two full-time jobs and a toddler... let's just say the frequency isn't what it used to be!

Batgirl back on her feet after 23 years

Among the changes will be a redrawn Superman who will no longer sport red pants worn outside his blue skin suit.

She doesn't look a day over sixty, does she?

Went for ultrasound today to have fibroids checked out, and they found a big cyst on my ovary! Results will be back at the GP next week; more news as I have it, though she did emphasise it was "nothing for me to go home and worry about". I'm not worried, exactly - more feeling like this: ------> FFS!

You find the best internetty stuff.

handy - pants, but they never tell you not to worry if it might be a good idea to, if only a little bit, so I'm going to send some good vibes as a formality. (((handy)))

OMG OMG OMG

Remember the linky about the "Go the F--k to Sleep" book?

Beautiful, subversive, and pants-wettingly funny, Go the F**k to Sleep is a book for parents new, old, and expectant. Due to its explicit language, you probably should not play it for your children.

Samuel L Jackson has done the audiobook and there's a free audio sample.

KJ - I might buy that and put SLJ on in Melony's room... SCARE the little toe-rag to sleep!

Hi Sn0wy!

And lovely to *see* you twingle. My mum's still demented and the boy has two more exams to go. Roll on next Friday.

Not much to report from bat towers. We've just had a slightly odd supper of creamy mash, fried eggs and French beans. It was delicious and I ate far too much. Oh, the piggery...

Handy - vibes coming your way and twing great to have you back.

Have decided to take up the project I was offered - will start officially end of June, but in the meantime have met the team and am familiarising myself with progress and process to date. Seem a good bunch - I'm looking forward to the challenge again.

Anyone watching popstar to operastar - I'm addicted.

Just to finish my week off:

a) Melony managed to put DOG POO in her friend's hair at childminder's ( )
b) The moderator STILL hates my marking, so we're waiting to hear what they want us to do next.

Saturday can NOT come soon enough. Stuff this week up Fate's fundament, I say!

Vibes for exams and hooray for new challenges!

Even when you know all the "cast" in this ongoing drama called GOW, you won't necessarily find it makes a lot of sense ... but that is all part of it's charm or it's mystique

I enjoyed the dog-poo story. LittlePlum, who doesn't really warrant that title anymore, has managed to avoid all such disgusting incidents. She did however, have a habit of photographing random dog-poo when she first got her camera. Fortunately, she seems to have grown out of that habit, although we do still have plenty of evidence of it in her photo library on the pc. Perhaps one day she will revisit her early work to classify it. I am not one to stand in the way of art, and for all I know this could be the start of a budding modern artist. In some ways I hope not,

All is pootling along here. No money, no immediate prospect of work but we're surviving and that is generally considered to be quite important

Did I ever tell you that GOW is quite a popular part of the local licence plates here? I see them quite alot and they always make me smile.

Twingle, glad to see that you are still around and if the GOW can put up with my comings and goings, I'm sure we can put up with yours!

It's winter here now and a tad chilly. It's down to 10 or 11 C overnight and only up to 25 in the day. Oh how I suffer! I love winter here, it's the best!

Hello, Plummie my dear!
Perhaps our daughters could go into business together - poo-related artistic installations?

I keep meaning to tell *you* that there's a lettings agency in a nearby town called "Plum Properties" - that always gives me a smile when I pass one of their boards and think of you!

nature's law - glad we made you chuckle. There's very little sense here, but loads of heart

I forgot to say Iggy, yes, I think I'm getting addicted to it. It's a little bit weird, but I like that. Good luck with the work too!

The boy's poo story still makes me want to hurl. We were out (on the Knavesmire in York, to set the scene for those who know the place) and must've turned our backs for a moment, and a second later there he was, holding an enormous, dried up dog turd. Then the thing snapped in half and revealed the still moist centre. It looked like he was about to tuck in so we both rugby tackled him with a split second to spare, then hot-footed it to Tesco to wash him down. Happy days...

To continue the food theme, I'm doing a massive lunch tomorrow. It's massive in numbers and in the amount of food I'm planning to do. My brilliant plan was to ask a friend to do the catering, but she's having her own enormous lunch tomorrow, so I'm on my own. I'm thinking buffet...

Knackered. But the boy has completed his coursework and done his last exam so it's all in the laps of the gods now.

Handy - vibes for your fibes and stuff and I agree with Batty - you need a hitman, that's one pig of a moderator.

Dog poo - nope, I'm not going to share - just hide.

Literature.

Back in the day, you could use it as chalk if you were hard at skool. The icky modern dog poo is because dogs are fed more processed junk instead of e.g. leftovers from the butcher's.

Talking of doggies:

I like Bonio. Seriously. It's just like Ryvita. I'm sure Sad would be willing to give it a try on my say-so.
