Hot, busy, and toddler has a Touch of Something.

Have gone with the Calpol and hoping for a good night's sleep - but I somehow doubt it... :-/

Vibes, vibes and more vibes to everyone who needs them ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Poor Melony indeed - awake from 2am to 3-30am ( ), then poorly all day today, really. She was a chilminder's but very fed up and miserable-poorly, so took her to docs for checkup.

Just another ear-and-throat virus, we think; Calpol AND Brufen, and now she's had a tepid bath she looks a lot better. Knackered, but more chirpy.

Me...I just look knackered...

(((((((((((((((((((((((((GOWHUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

PS - batty, eating when you're busy is a Really Good Idea. I've knocked off a bag of BBQ Beef Hula-Hoops just now and I'm two bites into a Double Decker. It's helping no end!

Have opened a can and am watching Smallville, which is allegedly about superheroes but seems to be an excuse to have lots of buff actors on-screen.

I read this article last night - I'd start a DS thread but it would turn out all wrong. It fair got me hot under the collar.

***Looks round empty thread***

KJ - Mr M is a Smallville devotee. I personally think the Green Arrow character exists purely for those who like a bit of S&M as he seems to spend a great deal of time being beaten up/tortured with no shirt on! Nice pecs, though...

Melony is feeling well enough to be a Grumpy Young Woman. Give me strength.....

We've got a babysitter for our wedding anniversary night next Thursday - WOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Yo grumpies!

I have been tidying up stuff on the 'puters and discovered pix of grumpy cats (snOWy) and grumpy pigs (mal).

Mr M is right about the superhero S&M. Apropos comics, I utterly recommend this site (please forgive the non-comic content which blokes see as a bonus - nothing too rude though).

We were almost on page 2!

Evening grumpies. All I can say is that if this is summer then I'm not impressed. We had a plan to meet up with some friends today, to spend the day either on the beach or strawberry picking, but it's been peeing down on and off all day...

So we went shopping. I got some killer heels. We've been invited to a dressy party on Saturday so if (big IF) we go, at least my feet will look brilliant.

I am miserable. My car blew up this evening

The cost of replacing the turbo and probably the catalytic converter is likely to be more than the car is actually worth. I'm gutted

Thankfully Mr Sad has loaned me his vehicle for tomorrow and has pinched his mum's.

Evening - well Morning now I suppose

@Batgirl - Shoes are always good and with all the stuff you've had going on you deserved a treat.

No grumps as such at the moment apart from one thing. What has hover mower(the orange grass cutters) done to make nearly all elderly people with grass own one? I went to see my Wee Mummy for a few days (I go up once a month) and I said I'd cut the grass. It took me ages and the stupid machine was useless! The back green is flatish but the front lawn is on a slope. Himself was at his Wee Mummy's and guess what? She has a hover mower too. Next time I am taking my lawn mower up with me and the strimmer and the lawn edger and yon thing I don't know the name of that makes weeding the flower beds and borders a very easy task. My Wee Mummy and Mummy in law aren't able to be as interactive with their gardens as they once were but they do like them to look neat and tidy.

Morning/evening fellow Grumpies.

#2 Slavette now has her new glasses - why are they so damned expensive? - whinge aside, she NEEDS her glasses and she has quite a small head and face so she never has the choice of the really funky frames. I'm still sitting thinking FFS! The price of something essential! The optician advised her to get used to her new glasses for a week or two before taking ownership of the prescription sunglasses. I know we could possibly get a better deal/price if we went to one of the Boots or SpecSavers type opticians but I do like to support our local independent businesses if possible so it's a local independent optician we all go to.

Way to Go wor Mel! as they say it in Geordie - well I think that's what a Geordie would say.

The Prom pix of kids I taught are wonderful. It's amazing how some change so much and some still look the same. Jean at 5 is NOT Jean at 16 or 18 but James at 4 is STILL James at 18.

A champagne breakfast followed later in the day by Pimms and canapés is not conducive to sobriety - and there's still a long time to go!
