Handy have you been ill? don't rush back to work. term finishes next week - just stay at home until september!!

I know i don't visit often these days and last time i did it was with good news - well this time i have bad news

the love of my life had a high speed motorbike smash on wednesday night, his pal rode into the back of him - we were told he had a 'fractured vertebrae' (L1) - slow old Mal didn't realise that this is what actually used to be called a 'broken back' !!!

he is in hospital right now laid out and in quite a lot of pain and it's all pretty crappy, yesterday was a tough day made worse by a major lack of sleep - today he was back to being intermittently chirpy and i felt a lot stronger but jeeez. what a pile of sh*t! i just want him home.

Oh Malaikah this is awful. You make sure the love of your life keeps thinking good loves for you. Swirl that hair and flash those eyes at him.... I'm thinking good loves for both of you.

Oh Mal I truly hope he makes a speedy recovery... am guessing he's lucky to be alive though. Keep positive for him - even if you have to force yourself to wear a smile when you visit - it will be really important for him that you don't let him know how upsetting this is until he's well enough himself to be able to cuddle you better - get loads of hugs off Little Mal instead .

Here, it's p*ssing down, and I'm in smug mode because I believed the weather forecast and mowed the lawn on Thursday night

Busy week - followed by busy weekend - so sorry i've not been around much but thinking of you all. Hope Laura is on her way to recovery, hope Handy takes our advice and stays off work, and hope everyone else is feeling the benefit of loads of Grumpy Old Vibes heading their way.

Thank you folks, it was a bit easier yesterday to wear a smile and be positive, much easier than thursday when i think the shock hit after reality sinking in! still feels crap when I come home. I slept with his tshirt last night, cuddling it like littlemal cuddles Polos the polar bear teddy at night!!!!!
