B*gger all here except bloody ice. Skated into the car park at work.

I'm hoping it will calm down by the weekend as three of my best mates & I have a couple of days booked in Bath for the Christmas market.

A neighbour mentioned about an hour ago that it's -6 out there at the moment, so it's definitely something to think about, if not for myself then for the ferret.

We're doooooomed

I am so fed up... should be looking forward to the weekend but I'm dreading it. Got a backlog of work, no motivation to do it, and getting pressure from Mr Sad to put decorations up and write cards and the annual newsletter, when I so can't be arsed.

I want six months off work and for him to bugger off to China again on business for a few months, that's what I want.

I know I'll enjoy Bath when I get there and all that, but part of me thinks it would be so much easier to stay at home... I think I'm turning into a hermit.

Hi, doomed is right, as hub's lost my boots, so I can't go out and sooo pissed off. Snow is so deep outside the door, and worst than last January. But got down to brass tacks after The Apprentice, as snow ain't getting the better of me and dug out a path, heaped it up into the front garden and never seen that much snow there before. Beastly! This is the South-East btw, and if I had a flame thrower the snow would get it. definitely. It's still snowing. boooo

(((Sad))) It sounds like you really need a break. Plan for a quiet Christmas if at all possible, just so you get a breather.

We've had more snow. Not loads more, but we had enough to start off with, so another day stuck at home for us, with sledging for exercise (and it's a bloody good work out!). I'll have to venture out at some point before the weekend, though - we're running low on fresh stuff.

Loads of neighbours turned out to clear our street - my OH got to the supermarket then we had blizzard. Still, it's not as deep as it was and we have food.

Finished my present shopping online - but will it get here?!

Still doomed. No trains. People who can't get to Waitrose eating the tyres from 4x4s.

That'll keep 'em regular.

I'm knackered. Sledging was so fantastic we stayed out for ages and almost perfected the technique of going down backwards.

Two foot of snow here - road out of the village passable, just, and I'mon my third snow day tomorrow.
Managed to get M to childminder's today and yesterday so she's had a blast playing with her four children in the snow and we've avoided driving each other stir-crazy! Tomorrow is Mr M's day off, so all of us at home for a 3-day weekend.

I'm going to have to buy some new wellies - like Amica, left mine at work...

My wellies are earning their keep too. And thermal socks!

It's -13 here at the moment.

Feeling sick today I'm trying to study but it seems impossible. Think I might have to go home and go to bed.

That set in fast!

We went to The Enormous Hill to sledge today and had it to ourselves and I'm knackered and covered in bruises from falling off the sledge at great speeds. My first thought on seeing the state of my legs was hmmm, going swimming might not be a good idea for a while. And then I remembered that I need to go for a smear neaxt week. It might get put off for a few days... I honestly look that bad. But it was so worth it.

KJ - Batman tells me that there's a very important game coming up.

An esteemed colleague (not I) will be there, subject to namby-pamby Northerners being able to run trains. Me, I'm doing Nottingham soon.

Can't you soft Southerners get in the car and drive oop North?

Our snow's not going anywhere so we're off to acquire more bruises soon.
