The waiting game sucks ((((((((batty))))))))

Melony slept through last night, thank goodness. A bit under the weather today but not too bad.

And I've made it into work, after disinterring the car from a foot of snow. Brrrrrrrrrrrr...

Poor Melony, poor Handy, and poor snowbound people. I probably shouldn't be jealous of being snowbound but I am. I could really use a few days at home. Preferably alone though, which might be trickier to arrange.

Batty - I hope your ma checks in soon ((((((BG))))))

Hugs all round. Far too fed up and feeling sorry for myself this evening.

Got 64% for my Marketing Research assignment I had to do half of it myself as my group members didn't want to do much of the work. I'm happy with that result though Got the exam on Thursday afternoon and crazy woman will be there!

Well done, cnbc!

((((((((((((SadP)))))))))))))) - you can have my next snow-day providing you also take the next 360 degree spin ending with being stuck in a drift and having to be hauled out by a local farmer!

Deal. Was he a dishy farmer?

Seriously Hope you're ok, that can't have been much fun. Me, I'm now being forced to put the knock I had on Friday on my insurance as a claim, although at the scene the driver thought she could t-cut it out... it will end up knock for knock for sure but actually she really was just as much in the wrong as I was, and now it's going to hurt our premiums as she clearly felt I should foot her bill!

Not dishy, sadly, but he's a very nice fella - we know them from church. And he was like a superhero trundling to my rescue last night, knackered old tractor and all!

(Hope batty's OK - no word from her this morning)

I'm fine, thank you for asking.

Well done on the 64%! And goodness, Sad and handy, what bad luck with the cars. A couple of days ago, I came within about a foot of having my front end crushed in by an estate that had gone into a sideways slide. If I hadn't been going so slowly (our little road is solid ice and breaking at even 20mph is dodgy - I know that from experience) I probably would've lost control too. It's really dangerous out there.

Today, I met up with some friends and we had big plans to do all our prezzie buying. Instead, we went to lunch and stayed lunching and gossiping until it was time to go home. Still, we don't get together that often...

We got a doll's house for melony last night - I'd forgotten in all the drama!
It's pink and immensely girly, with flowers painted up the front, and you can open all the doors and windows.
Just a shade under fifty quid from the Sue Ryder charity shop - they're selling a range of houses, the dolls and the furniture.
Awwwwwwwwww...

Mr M is doing lots of our shopping - he's much mor careful and conscientious than I am!

That sounds fab. Book me in for a play date.

Road madness here. Accidents, road closures and stupid drivers galore. I wish I could go back to bed.

Had the infamous Marketing Research exam this afternoon, crazy woman was there all dressed in black! She had on a long black coat (frock coats I think they're called? It was almost floor length), a black dress, black tights (I presume) and black heeled boots. She was pacing up and down watching everyone (including me). and making noise with her high heels. The exam went well though.

Ooh, clacky boots - big no-no when you're invigilating! I always put soft flatties on in exam halls to avoid distracting people. I rather like the sound of the frock-coat, though!

batty - consider a girlie play-date booked!

Thaw here - slow but steady. Hooray!

I wasn't sure what to think of it as I'd never seen her wearing one before. I suppose it wasn't bad though but I think being dressed entirely in black is overdoing it a bit. She always wears heels though but she should have worn flat shoes if she knew she was going to be at an exam hall.

And here, we were still sledging this afternoon.

I could do with a thaw. Lots to do tomorrow!

That's the difference between living just below sea-level (Melon Towers) and up in the hilly bit (the Batcave).
At least when it *does* thaw for you the water will all run away down the hill...

Well done, snowy! *pins on medal*
