It's sooooo cold. We've got the heating turned up high and it's still chilly. Time to either go out for a brisk hike or to light some fires.

Makes a nice change - we just had a dusting too. I had a mince pie for breakfast

Hope all you snowbound peeps will be on the move again soon. Shame about the footie.

It's too cold to got out so we have been watching strictly and movies in between tidying up. I love a nice romance, I do.

Hope the head is better soon, SnoWy

This time last year I made it to Sheffield.

Pile on the pounds and think of it as hibernation fuel.

I hope it was worth it.

We managed a little walk but it was far too slippery to go hiking off... and now Batman's driving to London. I told him to go earlier but he wouldn't listen so I've an evening of worrying about him to look forward to.

TWO MORE DAYS???? Please tell me this is training days, or you're going back later than us darn sarf. (We're mostly training days from 4th Jan - sigh...)

In work today for "review day" - strictly speaking kids break up Wednesday, but our head has said they're to stay at home and parents can come in to discuss their progress. I've only got 4 appointments, thank God!
Training day tomorrow, back on the 5th Jan and straight into lessons.

So not as bad as it sounded; just feels odd to be here after spending the weekend being all Christmassy and cosy!

Poor Handy Hope the time's useful for sorting out all that end of term clutter. I was tempted to go into the office today but the roads look awful and I've decided that the county council have had their pounds of flesh for one year.

To shop, or not to shop, that is now the question, with more blasted white stuff on the way, allegedly. Seeing as "light snow" on Saturday translated to several inches of the stuff...

Cleared my Inbox; just psyching up to start paperwork for next term!

Shopping: if it's food - yes! If it's presents - naaaah...

I'm trying to decide whether to venture out too. The ground is solid ice, though, so I've no idea if getting onto the main road is going to be possible... but I need to get stuff!!!

I'm hoping that the deserted nature of the thread is because everyone's being very Christmassy rather than that everyone's buried in snow/entombed in ice/too depressed to post!

Hi there Handy Being Christmassy mostly. And have just realised today's the shortest day (starting twenty minutes ago or so - !) which means from tomorrow (Wednesday) the evenings will start getting lighter again

I got home late and absolutely knackered yesterday. But we're all set for Christmas, as long as Batman makes it back of course. All I need to do is deliver some cards locally... oh, and clean the house. I don't feel very domestic goddessy, though.

And a (((us))) group hug for all the other grumpies too. You can never have enough hugs.

My house is a little bit tidier now but not tidy enough. I got distracted the dirty windows...

P.S. Still nothing from my mum so I sent her a big bunch of flowers, and they're to be delivered tomorrow. If they try a few times and don't get anywhere they're going to call me. Fingers crossed.

Thanks.

I'm dreading Interflora calling to say that they couldn't deliver. I don't have a plan B at the moment.

Will they call either way, so you're sure, or just if they can't? (((((Batty))))) Got everything crossed here. x
