Hello peeps - just passing through - been a bit busy with the new wee ones.I am already fed up of sitting on the floor.
They are a bit small to make tea but my new TA is fab at it.

Just the other day, I was telling someone about the Wii carry on we had that Christmas, do you remember? My boy really wanted one and they were really hard to get hold of, and then you PMed me to say that a shop close-ish by had a small delivery, so we called it and they kind of kept one under the counter while we dashed to buy it... It's probably about 2 or 3 years ago now!

M is fine, the little terror - chattering away in full sentences and charming the birds off the trees. She's grown a huge amount this summer and when she's in a good mood she's really good company now. She climbs like a monkey, can almost count to twenty (goes wrong around 16 then puts it right again), sings all the time and likes painting, trains, digging holes, the beach, throwing balls in the air, and the little boy next door!
Amica - good to hear you sounding a bit more chirpy.

I'm in a weird mood. I tried to book a flight to Warsaw and couldn't do it. I just really, really, really don't want to go. I'm being a big kid and need to give myself a good talking to. But I don't want to do that either. I just don't want to deal with it. Not only that, I don't think I can. She's already said more than once that she doesn't want to come back to the UK right now, and I can't make her. Nor can I drag her off to the doctor. So what am I going for? The phone calls are bad enough, but at least once I put the phone down I can try and get away from it mentally. Once there, I'm stuck, and being with her for a few days or a week or whatever, is going to be beyond stressful.
It's such a big pile of poo poo...

There isn't one...I wish I could say it was an emotional blip but I've had another go at booking and it ain't happening. I think I might need therapy to book a flight to Warsaw.

Part of the problem is that I'll have to stay with her - it's one of those cultural things, as in the worst insult would be to go to a hotel, so anyone else tagging along would be difficult for that reason alone.
I'm going to see how not going feels over the weekend. And yes, I know how pathetic I sounds.

Just catching up here but you don't sound at all pathetic. This sounds to me like it's gone way beyond what you can cope with on your own ((((((Batty)))))). Do you have any contacts out there at all with a good understanding of English who would be able to explain the predicament you're in to the Polish authorities and get her some help or is that really not a good idea?

I don't want to start anything with the Polish authorities, which might sound odd, but things are done differently there and unless I know all the consequences I'm really reluctant to involve anyone who might take things out of my hands. There obviously are things I can still find out but you know what it's like, it's so easy to get the big picture and then find out that the devil's in the detail.
What I'm thinking might happen is that she'll agree at some point to come back here and then I'll have to act quickly and get her seen by someone... somehow. I now have a name of a good local doctor who has bags of experience in this area... so that's my plan, if you can call it that.
I'm still trying to talk myself into going, and if there was some crisis I'd be on the next plane, but for now I've no ticket and I'm calling her every day to make sure that she's sounding healthy (as in not distressed and eating). She was quite bright last night. Just completely divorced from reality. Life's weird.
