Aside from Lush, if you're up for a punch-up over on GD, they're after our chocolate!

They are indeed. My bank rang me a couple of weeks ago about some possible fraudulent activity on my card, I wouldn't talk to the guy on the phone as it's my rule to never give any info to a cold caller. But then I couldn't take any money out of the ATM so I rang the bank and they said that the phone call was indeed genuine and my card had been frozen. Now I have to wait for the card to go to London and then forwarded on to me here. In the meantime, I have no access to my money. Then I got the email from Lush today. They waited this long to contact their customers. The only good thing is that as far as I can tell there haven't been any unauthorised charges on my account. I know that they're a victim but I'm disappointed in Lush (once again) with the way they handled this.

Oh, 'evening all.

Hi Amica!. What are you painting? I hope you're relaxing now with a glass of something in your hand. Is PG still the GOW drink these days?

Yo Snowy! What have you been doing today?

I'm feeling pretty good today so I've been baking --bread, biscuits (cookies) , cakes, rolls and buns. "Carpe diem" and all that. I was a one-woman bakery this afternoon and made a total mess of my kitchen in the process. It's all cleaned up now and the house smells so lovely from all the baked stuff. I'm freezing most of what I made though. After licking batter and testing stuff all day I have no appetite for dinner but Mr. Home is making one of his lovely salads so things could change.....

Snowy: Are you still playing Scrabble on FB? I seem to remember you kicking my ass on there a few times.

How old is Ghostie Boy now?

I've been at a conference all day and out for a meal this evening. Apparently to celebrate the smashed window in our back door (son, in temper, locked out by dad by mistake) and my daughter's smashed "indestructible" phone

Serves me right for going out for the day

I pointed the broomstick west and here I am, home again.

Topsy turvy week with bells on, with the Warsaw adventure ending with ma being locked out of her house here due to the wrong keys being brought back. I'm so knackered I feel like I'm walking through treacle but so, so happy to be back.

Hi, chaps!

I've been domesticking this morning and then took Melony out shopping with me this afternoon while Mr M caught up with some paperwork in peace. She's got to the age now where we can go for tea and a snack in Tesco's caff and she'll sit beside me on a Big Girl's Chair, eat bits of my buttered scone and people-watch long enough for me to drink a cuppa and have a breather. The only problem is that she also comments at the top of her lungs on what she's looking at.

She's the sort of kiddie that people look at in the street and start giggling... we passed a busker near M and S and she stood listening to him play "Try to Catch the Wind" all the way through and then clapped him at the end of the song while everyone going past pointed at her and went "Awwwwwwwwwwwwww"
She also insisted on wearing pink Upsy Daisy sunglasses with her long blue raincoat and winter hoodie because she said the streetlamps were too bright!

ETA:
Batty!
Welcome home!

Please note: because I quoted posts I didn't have so much smilage to work with so had to "write" some of them out. Why are we not allowed a few more? Don't they know that us grumpy women need to have an outlet to express their frustrations?? Do they not realise that those smileys and the use thereof may even save lives in the "real world"? I call for all people over 45 to be given 10 more smileys "just because" and one of them out oght include a vomit one while they're at it, (LOL)

Ooh, that brings back some memories with my boys. You're own little bundle of joy will find some way to absolutely mortify you by stating some very loud and astute observation in the hub of the public.
