I am home alone, after a Palace defeat, with beer, curry and Sarah Connor Chronicles DVD Season 1; MrsKJ is in a B&B with a a bottle of wine and an M&S salad (with promise of nice breakfast tomorrow).

Don't panic - all is well. If somewhat bizarre for a Saturday night.

Apropos SCC, Summer Glau could have me though. Her being all cyborgy and all, I wouldn't have a say in the matter.

Oh cr@p. 5 minutes is 300 seconds. Sleep well.

I'm happy enough in bloke-world tonight, but I need my grumpies!

Allegedly, BG went down the health farm today. The dermal abrasion on her back needed to erase the willy suntan was quite harsh.

My appearances here may be intermittent. Yep, it was the birthday a week ago - now we're suffering the party. At the moment we're waiting for the pizza delivery man

jemima, you sound more in need of a hug than a kick up the bum! If you'll accept one from a stranger, you're welcome to one: ((((((jemima))))))

Sad - strengthening vibes going out to you!

Melony had a nightmare about 4am, and I tottered back to my bed at 6-30am. I'm so tired now I've sort of come out of the other side of it...

Anyway, we've had a fairly pottery family day and I'm not planning anything overly energetic tomorrow, either - a bit of basic housework, a walk with the littl 'un, maybe some Play Doh if we feel ambitious.

And mr M and I are having a Valentine's Midnight Feast when he comes out of the bathroom, hopefully followed by a spot of - erm - Lionel Ritchie if we can stay awake long enough! So life could be worse!

Only 5 teenagers left now. One broken light fitting but no puke. On balance we got off lightly

I hope Lionel did the trick... and Mr M too of course.

Sad - congratulations on surviving the night.

KJ - it's not coming off!!!

We're bracing ourselves for a trip to see granny. She's hit a pretty low spot over the last couple of days so maybe a family visit will perk her up. Or it might confuse the shit out of her. It's all a bit like that...

((((BG)))) Hope it's not the lurgy.

I've taken so much cold remedy this weekend I must be bloody rattling by now.

Think the worst of it is over, I just sound dreadful now, much worse than I did when I actually felt dreadful (Friday and Saturday) - why does that always happen???

Anyway yeah, the house survived, just about. Almost back to normal, just carting down a few more items that I hid in the bedroom. Got a day at home to catch up on writing up yet more observations tomorrow and it's my last chance before half term so as I point blank refuse to work this half term, I need to get my head down.

I think I need to give serious consideration to a four day week.

Lots of kids her age start having nightmares. One of my kids had one actually about his closet and we had to leave to door to it open at night. Anyway, there's this great book that did the trick and helped for many of their friends and their parents.

You certainly did! I'm glad that Young Sad and his friends are controllable.

(((((BG and Bat Family))))) This must be very difficult for you with such an unpredictable situation. Stay strong, I'm rooting for you.

My grump for the day: Lush
The saga continued all last week and still continues. It was like a domino effect with my card being cancelled and dealing with stuff in the UK while in Holland make all the more difficult. My last problem was with E-bay since I had my account linked to the card and not my bank account. When I went to change all of that I somehow got locked out of my account. The only way to rectify it was to actually ring E-bay which was a long and expensive phone call.

I said it before: Lush could have notified their customers a lot sooner than they did when they realised they had been hacked. I think it will be serious repercussions for them as they were storing info in a server that they shouldn't have it seems.

Anyway it's Valentine's Day and Mr. Home gave me a big, beautiful heart shaped piece of lapiz. He's getting more sentimental about Valentine's Day with each year. I got him a gift, too but it's been delayed since I bought it from E-bay.

Thanks me@.

I'm home alone for the night and I'm planning to be a selfish old moo. The fire's lit, the wine is chilling and my Kindle's got a few hundred books for me to choose from, although America's Next Top Model's on later... And I don't need to be up first thing!

Obviously having Batman here would make it perfect but I'm going to be brave and soldier on alone.

Sounds like a fab evening, batty. Hope it went well!

me@h - thanks for the recommendation. I shall investigate that!

It's going to be a stiffish week at work; I've got four performances by exam groups to stage, film and mark. Roll on Friday...
