Apropos footy, I'll be at Palace tomorrow but I hope everyone will be cheering for Crawley Town. Not for anti-ManU reasons, but because I'm down here in West Sussex.

Oops a daisy - I got confused between QPR and Crystal Palace.

'ave a 'ug - it's what we're all here for (((KJ)))

Considering my ventures onto the English Grammar threads, should I say "it's what we're all here for" or does "that is the reason for which we're all here,." sound a little more eloquent?

Whatever - vibes are not dependent on language or grammar.

Hugs my friend.

((((KJ)))) I didn't realise that you were having problems. What's wrong? I hope it'll soon be on it's way to being right.

The day turned out better for me as some payments I've been waiting for since October are now about to come through and will continue to so monthly from here on in. That's a major load of my mind. We've been reduced to semi-auterity measures around this house lately because we didn't know where all this would end. Now we can relax but into our modest, but comfortable little existence which allows me to pop into Lush for an occasional treat. I need to top up my Karma Kream supplies. And I have to admit that the sample of Rain showergel has grown on me (well no-not the sample--the smell) and now I look forward to using and wishing that there was a perfume to go with it.

Well I'm up a little later than usual so I'm gonna sign off now and get my hot drink and bun

Forgot to post on this thread all week but that lecturer's been annoying me a bit! She kept watching me in Tuesday's lecture and today I was in one of the restaurants with some friends and she came and sat down at our table She was talking to me for a few minutes and wouldn't give me any peace! She seemed to be dressed in pink today and she was wearing black and grey in Tuesday's lecture.

Everything's crossed for you KJ.

me@ - I haven't tried Rain yet, but got hooked on Grass last summer. I take it to the gym so it's become my *being active* smell.

Batman and I are having a slow day, although a trip to ma's is on the cards. She hoards stuff and keeps coming across old letters and documents and isn't now able to tell that the stuff she's looking at is old news. I'm hoping she'll let me shred everything she doesn't need any more, or at least box it up and stick it somewhere out of the way. She probably won't though...

Grass (the shower gel) smells *wonderful*.

I bet one called "Rain" would smell pretty good too, though!

Oh bum, I was looking forward to trying Rain. I might email them to suggest it, with the honours going to you if they make it.

Grass is fab, isn't it. Batman loves cutting our grass so it was my *happy smell* already - summer weekends etc.

Here, we've had a fair bit of snow (could do without it) but made it out anyway. But didn't manage to do any shredding, so I expect to be dealing with issues from 1997 next, as that was the date I spotted on some of mama's papers in a pile by her bed.

Bad news - she's set on going back to Warsaw as soon as possible. God knows how I'm going to handle things if she continues with it. She can't go back on her own. No way. But I don't want her getting upset if I don't book her flights. Blah...

It just occured to me tonight that I haven't had anything alcoholic to drink in over a month. I didn't give it up or become an Irish Pioneer or anything but just forgot about it all. We got loads of white wine and beer in the fridge and red wine and spirits in the cupboard but none appeal to me. Thought I'd share that.

BG: I've been thinking about your situation and have some ideas but am too knackered at the moment to get them from my brain to this page via my fingers and keyboard tonight but will give you a pm tomorrow about it.

Well it's spearmint tea and beddy byes for me now. I'm living it large on a Saturday night here.

I finally cracked and bought some books for Kindle. All the free ones on Amazon appear to be mucky bodice rippers.

Also, I *like* the Kindle advert on telly. It's not in your face, and a nice choon.

Yes, but I couldn't eat a whole one...

(((((((batty)))))) - if you're really lucky she'll forget!
Srsly, though - given that she can't work her cards etc, stalling her shouldn't be too hard. I know she'll get upset, but that's going to happen some of the time whatever you do. Better upset and safe than loose in Warsaw!

(((((((((((((GOWs))))))))))))))))) - just cos!

Supposed to be meeting a project group but they're late I get the feeling they're not gonna be here now. I saw that crazy Marketing Research lecturer a few minutes ago. She's lurking around!

Hello Grumpies!

Well, Monday's almost over.

My bank card finally arrived so that's one hassle over with.

It's been a lazy day and I haven't even been out. Actually I have two or three days in a row like that every week or so when then most of outdoors I feel is from my balcony.

Hope all is well in GOW land and special hello to Laura and Amica who shold pop in more often.

It's nerdy to post computer stuff, but this is *really* clever.

http://stereopsis.com/flux/

During the day, computer screens look good—they're designed to look like the sun. But, at 9PM, 10PM, or 3AM, you probably shouldn't be looking at the sun.

F.lux fixes this: it makes the color of your computer's display adapt to the time of day, warm at night and like sunlight during the day.

It's even possible that you're staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better.

Very, very clever.

Here, mama's blood tests came back 100% fine and dandy. Great news in one way and a bit pants in another. There's nothing there that we can hang her memory loss etc on, so it's back to the obvious - dementia. She'll be seeing a consultant in a couple of months from now...
KJ44

BG, your mama will be the same whether it's dementia or something else, better to eliminate the red herring diagnoses.
