It's also been a relatively pants day.

I mean that literally, as in "my relatives are pants".

Ever onward and upward, eh? On the plus side we may not be subjected to dinner with the mother in law every week from now on.... there are limits to our patience and tonight we reached them (and then some). It will be nice to have a night when nothing happens

(((((((Sad)))))))) - relly stress on top of work stress is really not what you need, is it?

We're trying to get our house somewhere near domestically acceptable, hence my temporary sporadicity (I think I just invented a word!)

KJ - if Melony's computer keyboard skills are anything like her piano keyboard skills her typing will look like this:
hhgusahfcgvnsj[\JMVMVEAFHPINVLKNVZKXZFVfnkjahfgaketgohtgtajaomggnma......

... sung to the accompaniment of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

We don't get to choose our relatives... (((Sad)))

Morning chums. Bloody windy out there - gusts up to 50mph apparently - so not a good day to take the bike out. The pool for an hour it is then. It really clears my head before the day starts...

Life's muppets.

I agree KJ.

I had pool rage (again) today. I swear one of these days I'm going to drown someone when the lifeguard's not looking.

I need a drink.
batgirl

Have one. Maybe two. Not three, though. It's a school night.

Yep, muppetry has been the order of the day here, too.

GRUMP:

Why can't people just do their jobs properly? Is that so much to ask when they're being paid nearly thirty grand a year?
What really peeves me is that every time this particular bloke effs upI say to myself "I'm not running round after him putting it right again."
Then guess what I do?

GAH!!!!! @self

I can't drink, I have paperwork Although I've been procrastinating so long I may as well have had the drink.

Handy - I feel your pain. I have inherited such a backlog of cases from my supposedly overworked colleague (who earns probably nigh on twice my salary) that I had another look at his figures from last year... he had about a third of my caseload. I'm so angry, and so frustrated, but to say something would seem petty

yoo hoo any one watching the young ones on BBC2??
handymelon

Nope, sorry, snowy - it's been a no-telly night here.

((((((((Sad)))))))))

At least mine's a member of my department and junior to me.
Doesn't stop him being a prat, mind...

I was going to get an early night honest

I wonder what time you really went to bed Sad.

handy - it's THAT bloke, innit. It's going to have to be tough love...

I've had an okay-ish chat with mama this morning. Her new bank card has arrived and she seems cool with what she needs to do next - go and get herself some cash. Fingers crossed...

Here, it really ought to be bedtime. I have actually got some work done this evening so I'm feeling quite smug.

Hello

I know a couple of you in here.

Can I pop in and have a grump about hospitals. My wife's in one now and I wish she wasn't. Miss her.

They've changed their minds a few times as to what's wrong with her, but hopefully it's sorted now.

Bats - yep, it's him. Twonk.
Glad your Mum seemed OK-ish

(((((((Sad)))))))) - in case!

@ KJ

Porridge - grumping is what we is for. Not sure I'm one of the ones you know, but I'm part of the night shift with Sadperson; so on behalf of the GOW can I say hello, have a (((((((hug))))))) and please pop back again. We're good listeners in here

Grump away.

handy - you're a saint for putting up with him.

Me, I'm knackered. Didn't sleep well and woke up really early thinking I heard the phone... But at least it's Friday.
