Good morning Grumpies!

I hope that this week is shaping up better than last week for most of us.

Iggy: Is your friend older than you by any chance? I can understand the wanting to avoid certain 0 birthdays. My last one was a bit traumatic and to be honest, I still don't like to talk about my age. I'm still 45 with VAT and late fees added on.

HM: I hope that the family feud clears up soon. In my dysfunctional family there's never complete family peace at one time. Someone's always falling out with someone else and these feuds can last years.

KJ: Glad the peepers are ok but sorry abot the job. Was that immediate liberation or did they give you some time? You're in a very crowded boat of over 50s who are no longer needed. Many of my friends and family in the US are out of work and these are either professional or highly skilled folks. There's a lot of competition for McDonald's or KFC employment these days....

24/7: Baby? How did I miss that? I hope that you keep us posted on things and remember that there's a wealth of child-rearing experience right here in GOW should you need any advice. Hope you've still got those feet up!

And a big HELLO to everyone else.

I feel like saying morning and blah again but I'm making an effort to be chilled. I had an hour in the pool and we're going to the cinema later so I remind myself of how lucky I am... to stop myself thinking about you-know-who. I'm discovering that she stopped paying her bills a while back and we're getting to the point that something needs to happen (they need paying or she'll be prosecuted). She's got plenty of cash but also some very strange ideas about why she doesn't owe anyone any money. Also, she wants to be back in Warsaw now, so talk about anything to do with over there only serves to feed that. So I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. If I deal with it myself I'll be several thousand pounds down and I'll have a very unhappy husband. If I don't do that I've no idea what the end result will be.

I need that power of attorney, right?

Damn fe*ckin' straight you do. ASAP. Just try to see if you can get something that encompasses assets in both countries. I know it can be done but don't know the exact mechanics of it. (((((BG)))))

Cheers grumpies.

The film was...

... let me save you the price of a cinema ticket.

Battle: Los Angeles

Aliens land, loads of shooting, dad dies, boy cries, speech about marines never giving up, more shooting, yay we win.

Only it's not quite as good as that.

Thanks for the support noble cyber chums.

I do feel as if I can vent here now and then but excuse me if I don't discuss my circumstances in detail on what is essentially a public forum.

There's always PM and Palace away trips.

Got 65% for my Marketing Policy essay Lecturer was dressed a little odd this week - she came in wearing a pink scarf, long fur coat, black dress that didn't fit her all that well and black boots. She also had her sunglasses on when she came in and she then swapped those for her normal glasses. She's a strange woman!

Strange women rock.

(((KJ))) You know everything's crossed for you, don't you.

Very, very foggy here again. Quite atmospheric.

I'm taking you know who out to lunch and I'm planning to gently skirt around the PoA issue...

Happy St. Paddy's Day Grumpies! It's a year ago today that I left Derry for good. I liked the irony of leaving Ireland on it's national holiday.

Laura:I hope that you've been finally been able to sleep. (((((Laura))))

Insomnia sucks LL. I've tried Valerian tea once or twice of late and it made a difference.

Here, I'm gearing up to fly East again. It'll be the 3rd time this year. Could do without it but hey...
