Ooo, recipes! Yum!

Things are still pretty grim here but at least the sun is shining and we've been able to have a pretty good weekend. There's nothing better than sitting out in the garden with a few friends, having wine, getting some perspective on problems...

I'm happy for you, having support, BG. <sniff>

It's just over 21 years since Palace beat Liverpool 4:3 and it was better, but I digress.

If anyone here fancies a punch-up, there's always this:

@handy and Mr M

Set your video recorders to stun. Channel 4, just after midday during the week, every day, old skool 1950s/60s SciFi movies.

I'm watching 1953 War of the Worlds again, now.

PS Because it's too darned hot, as Ella Fitzgerald once sang.

Some of us have been busy gardening

I ache all over - I dont think there's a muscle in my poor body that I haven't used today

Been to the park for a picnic, then shopping for stuff I missed out when I flew round last week, then Mr M cut the grass while I domesticked, then I sprayed under the hedge with Roundup while he domesticked. Lazy gardening!

What a difference the sun makes, eh?

Indeed.

But after a very early start, I'm having a slobby day. I need to relax and maybe reading for a few hours will do it. If not, I might have to start drinking...

Fab plan Bats. I have spent yet another morning at the hozzy while himself had gas and air and a pot on. I have my own parking space now....- I wish.

I hope and trust you did the reading *and* the drinking, batty!

((((Amica)))) - hospital parking?

Hopspittle parking is the pits. Hopefully over soon, Amica. Still sending those vibes ~~~~ and to LL as well

Another productive day here - which is odd as I'd originally had this pegged as a duvet day I will have one, eventually

Batty - what time does the sun officially go over (or is it under?) the yard-arm???

I could drink very easily right now but I'm meant to be doing a Zumba class at 6pm

Officially it's 6pm Sad. The time zone doesn't have to be all that specific... But I've been good, handy.

Have fun Zumba-ing Sad!

Amica - vibes from here too.

I didn't Zumba - got preoccupied with doing dinner and stuff and managed to forget. I think I'm getting old

You're on the right thread, then!

My friend at work does Zumba and says it's fab - sounds far too much like har work to me!
I may well try to go swimming a bit more, though - I enjoyed what I did on Saturday and I used to be quite good at one time. Much easier now with short hair, too!

Hurumph... what happened to the swishy flicky pics????

I'd like to go swimming... but Zumba's nearer. It is fun - just I need to remember when it's on

Of course if I stopped scoffing bloody chocolate it would help

Perhaps when everyone else celebrates Easter I could give up chocolate at that point...

It's swimming and biking for me. I'd go mad without them. Or madder.

Good for you, snowbes!

Sad - I don't swish or flick these days; there's not enough of it! I suppose I might ruffle in the right circumstances; it's what you might call an elfin crop if you were being generous.

We're picless at present because most of the pics I have are on my phone which won't talk to my laptop, and Mr M hasn't got one of me in my current incarnation on his digi camera.

Maybe you'll have to see me in person....

Afternoon. I'm slightly swamped by paperworky things. Grumpy.

Snap, Batty

HM - would love to ruffle the elfin look.

On the plus side to a dull day - Mr Sad's bringing a takeaway home with him

Yikes, snowy!

Here we have a really grumpy toddler and a consequently bad-tempered set of parents. No bedtime story tonight, I fear!

She settled about half nine... storyless, but everyone hugged and made up.

I swear we've got a three-year-old teenager - grumpy as hell, won't get up in the mornings, answers back and hates going to bed. Grrrrrrrrrrr.....

I remember little Saddette at that sort of age ... Used to be described as "four, going on fourteen"... now, it's "seventeen, going on seven"
