Ain't that the truth... teenagers are nature's way of ensuring we cut those apron strings...

Mr Sad's off to China for the week, checking in at Heathrow around now. Kids are watching The Lovely Bones and the house is so, so peaceful

I will miss him, honest

Time for a long bubble bath Sad, with a facepack on and a glass of something of your choice firmly in hand.

Then tomorrow, get both the kids off to friends' houses and have the place to yourself...

Here, it's been A Day of Getting Things Done.

Batman had work stuff to do, the boy's finishing some coursework, and I've been dealing with pesky accounts. We managed a walk earlier, but apart from that we've been chained to our laptops.

I'm looking forward to next weekend!

My inner girlie, and also the fact that she's utterly hot, says that "Being Erica" is The Best Thing On Telly ATM.

Tsk tsk, KJ!

Dr Who on BBC1, Saturdays
Game of Thrones, Sky Atlantic, Wednesdays (I think! Someone's blagging it for me!)
The Walking Dead, Channel 5/5 US, various repeats
Rubicon, BBC4, times various (recording it and watching it when awake enough to concentrate properly!)

Oh - and on CBeebies I recommend Octonauts, Timmy Time, Charlie and Lola and Yoko, Jakamoko, Toto

Today has been about housework, buying diesel at 6p off per litre, and smiley-face buns!

Teletubbies generation here. Four bedrooms in our house, each with a tubby on the door.

I iz TinkyWinky 'cos it's cool to have a handbag if that's what floats your boat (unless you're Brighton)

Srsly, tho', check out Being Erica http://www.e4.com/beingerica/ 23:00 tonite.

Yes, I'm planning to be pissed as of Friday night, but don't tell anyone.

I've never seen Being Erica so I'm going to side with handy. Game of Thrones is fab - much better than I thought it would be. And Sean Bean (pronounced Seen Been in the batcave) is getting better with age.

I have just sat and completed the student finance application with my son.

I would like alcohol, but after Wednesday's experience chocolate will have to do. I suppose a Bailey's coffee would be a good compromise....

I think there's an F missing.

Last Wednesday, I drank the best part of a bottle of wine on a school night ... and paid very dearly for the experience.

It felt great at the time, but not so great when I had to drive twenty miles to a 9 o'clock performance management meeting still feeling as p*ssed as a f*rt.

ucking smart-aleck

Me and MrsKJ had a cracking heart-to-heart convo tonight, me drinking the wine-she-doesn't want-to-waste-but-is-rank.

Commuting by train rocks.

I would advise synergising the inherent potential of your team as a leveraging strategy towards fulfilling your mission statement objectives.

Holy sh!t batlady! My mother *insisted* "I call him Seen". He's from bloody Sheffield so why does it take us Southern jessies to say his name proper?

#1 Slavette was 21 on Friday so I had a houseful of her and the other Slavettes mates round. She didn't want a party or any fuss but a few of her friends and I organised a surprise tea party that morphed to a cocktail and much screaming with laughter informal party as the evening progressed. Haven't seen #2 Slavette since yesterday (serious mega hangover - she should be okay for work tomorrow). #1 Slavette is also still a bit fragile "Can I have a henny penny and soldiers? I think I could manage that" and I had all the clearing up to do. I have to say I was surprised at how little carnage there was.

I'm now eyeing up a bottle of rose but I'm taking one of my wee dogs to the vet 1st thing to be castrated and it maybe a better idea to save the rose for tomorrow when I'm wracked with guilt.
