Rumba still could have been worse it could have been a samba.lulu just has to put her trust in Brendan and I have to try and pretend it isn't Lulu

I'm so relieved Brendan made it through the first elimination. Initially I was pleased that Lulu was with Brendan as I assumed she'd be much better than she is.. however, she does have a real sparkle when she performs so if she can learn to dance then she stands a good chance at doing well. I hope so at least(for the selfish reason that I want to see Brendan each week)

I guess we have to discount week one when she just went to pieces. Week 2's foxtrot wasn't great (and I think a little overmarked if I'm honest) but at least she got through some steps and seemed in the VT's to actually want to learn and get the steps right.

If rumba is their dance this week I'm ever so slightly worried.. but perhaps she can pull off some great poses. If Brendan gets her to do the rumba walk then we're in with a chance

I was at the beach Still don't get this Lulu antipathy, but since I'm not watching her anyway I don't particularly care who he's dancing with. Those trousers last saturday had me entranced, so didn't particularly notice how SHE did

I like B's rhumba/rumba normally but I'm guessing it ain't gonna be great. Let's just hope their combined fan-bases are enough to keep them in and after that she should be ok-ish. I'm guessing that a combined fan-base is what's keeping Anton and sozzlehead in the competition.

ETA: Am liking Pasha as well, but he's not (yet) holding a candle to B

He looked nice and relaxed on ITT! He looked quite confident they'd be doing ok.

Trouble is not much rumba content means we may want to kill Len by the time he's ranted on...so whats new

It'll be interesting to see what the judges will do now that he's already announced that fact, but is banking on it being "broadway" week for it to be acceptable. Clearly Len watches ITT so it might be a bit of cunning "offense being the best defence" on the part of B.

Well looking at the training footage there seems to be a few of them guilty of not putting enough relevent dance content in there...Jason,Harry etc so either they all let it pass or Len has an apoplexy,is next week the week he has off just to recover?

A lovely interview from today's BBC Breakfast show - they seem to be getting on very well with each other. It starts at about 23 minutes, They were good on ITT as well. I was pleased they showed how encouraging Brendan was to Lulu before they went on to dance last week - it is about time they dropped the label and showed people how Brendan really is:

It would be nice if they did but thats casting for you,the BBC I've always thought cast it as they would a drama or comedy rather than taking into account the actual personalities involved

It sort of bit them on the a$$, because their Artem & Kara story worked so well that they can't use it again with Artem & Holly this year

I feel rather vindicated for having defended him for the last few years on here. Now more people are seeing the B we were already seeing (or does that sound self-satisfied? )
