I think that Bendan is doing a wonderful job with Lulu and is so supportive - it is lovely to see how she has come round from the horror at the initial reveal of the partners to realising that she is actually very lucky. Brendan has created two beautiful dances for her and is so positive and encouraging.
I love his enthusiam for the show and joy he has in the dancing, regardless of the skills (or lack of) of his partner. Unlike some, he understands what the show about and has fun. I can't imagine SCD without him now. Take him out of the equation, and, apart from Anton, everyone is pretty serious - however unlike Anton, who unfairly to Nancy, is trying to recreate Ann, Brendan has the balance exactly right.
So I find Lulu fine as a partner - Brendan seems to enjoy the partnership and doesn't have the pressure he would feel with a top dancer. I also find their developing friendship and mutual support quite touching. I'd say they have one of the best relationships so far. And as someone who still doesn't know the first thing about dancing, but watches the show anyway, I absolutely loved the choreography, music and emotion of their last two dances.
Brendan seemed paticularly excited and emotional about Saturday's dance - I did see on twitter that he dedicated it to his father who died exactly one year ago on Saturday, so maybe that contributed.
