Logitech Harmony 300i v Harmony 885
Hi All,
My harmony 885 is about to finally give up the ghost. Great controller, but i think i will go for a cheaper version this time. However there is one thing that may stop me buying the Harmony 300i. Is anyone able to tel me if the infra red is as strong on the 300i as it is on the 885. Currently i am able to control all of my devices from every chair in the living room, but if i use my sky controller or other satellite controller i have to get up and move. So basically, i will buy this controller if it is good enough. The main reason that the sky controller does not work i due to where the set top box is located. It is in an item of furniture with wrought iron panel doors, hence the sky controller being unusable, but the harmony 885 working perfectly. Thanks in advance. |

General infra red question on harmony remotes
I have just looked at my 885 controller through the camera lens of my phone and i can see that there are two infra red lights flashing when a button is pressed.
Can anyone that owns a harmony controller please tell me if your controller also has two infra red beams, or just the one. Due to the location of my set top boxes, only one beam may not work. |
