Onkyo wins EISA Award
The Onkyo TX-SR608 has won this years EISA Best Product (Home Theatre Receivers) award.
Can't say fairer than that Onkyo have been getting a lot of us to recommend their products and this seems like a great choice at less than £400 for a 7.1 AV Receiver. Well done Onkyo. Keep up the good work. But if you want the very very best high end Home Theatre AV amplification, then you're going to need very deep pockets indeed. EISA gave the Best Product HT High-End award to the Krell S-1200u/S-1500, which comes in at a mind numbing £25,500. |

I love my Onkyo amp and does exactly what I expect it to do and rewards me with great sound.
As for the Krell @ £25,000 this is really crazy and I bet if set up correctly would sound almost the same as my £400 Onkyo amp. I think even if I had the money, I wouldn't pay £25,000 for an amp. Understandable in a cinema / theatre, but obviously not aimed at the average home cinema enthusiast. |

Probably would sound similar on your system, but if you added some £25,000 speakers.....
