DVD player with 'Resume' function
Clangerette

I am looking for an upscaling dvd player but it MUST have a resume function (ie if I stop or turn off dvd player it will resume at the exact point in film that I left off).
Why, oh why did I give away my old bulky Logix player?!!!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanx

I know Sony DVD players have a resume - the base players I believe will "remember" the resume for 5 disks.

Most dvd players will restart playback from where you left it as long as the dvd stays in the player during power off.

If they don't its usually down to the authoring of the discs.
Same for Bluray .

The PS3 is designed to return playback to where it was left on dvd's and Blurays and even when the discs have been ejected.
However - the discs authored as described above won't work in the PS3 either so don't buy a player expecting RESUME to work on every single disc

Our Sony Surround DVD player has a resume for 10 discs, which is pretty handy for the various series I watch.
