Still only a 160gb maximum size, what is this, the Middle Ages? Do you want us to go back to writing all our books by hand, eh, Mr Jobs?

My current Apple TV is more useful to me, as my paltry 1.6mb broadband can only just manage to stream low quality YouTube and iplayer.

I really like the look of the Apple Tv....

Anyone who's already got it care to comment on how good or not it actually is?

I don't think the actual video will be streamed, the video will download. You have 30 days to watch the movie/tv show, and you have finished watching it, I think it gets deleted automatically.

Quote:
“All content on the device will be rental only, meaning that no hard drive is necessary on the new device.

That explains why the new Apple TV box is one fourth the size of the current model and will feature 802.11 Wi-Fi as well as an ethernet port and HDMI out. The power supply is also built into the tiny little set-top box.”

Since theres no hard drive, doesn't that mean it can only stream(because you certainly cannot download anything), especially as T3 only seems to mention streaming on the Apple TV.

I would imagine there would have to be a hard drive of some kind - Where would the software be stored?

There will be Flash memory for it's internal software.

No capacity hike on the ipod - - not unexpected though.

Quite like the new ones but I think I'll get last years version. I wonder when the prices will fall

I was hoping for a 32GB iPod nano....the new design and the lack of camera puts me off.

I'm going to order one of the 64GB iPod Touches. Was thinking 32GB, but I'll fill that up. Only got 7GB free at the minute on my current 32GB and it's depleting very quickly.

And, by selling my old iPod it'll only cost me £179 =]

It can't play videos or games either. The previous Nano is far better IMHO.

I have to agree this new Nano looks like a real let down, the previous gen looks a lot better

it has to serve a different auxilary purpose as the touch is creeping into its territory. its become a smaller music only player..function dedicated.

Like their products, loathe the company. Apple and 'the Apple community' give smugness a very bad name.

I wonder how comfortable it will be to use nano, it just looks too small to hold and select something. One thing is sure,, for sumo wrestlers it ain't
