Who are your favourite girlbands of all time?

For me it'd have to be TLC.

The Sugababes 1.0 and 2.0 is probably my favourite girl band of all time.

I also really loved Eternal back in the day.

All Saints were great too.

I miss girl bands of this quality. The Saturdays and Girls Aloud are good for what they are but they can't touch the above acts, as far as I'm concerned.

I like loads of girlbands, my faves being

Spice Girls (what 90s boy or girl didn't like them for some reason?)

Destinys Child (My fave era is "The Writings on the Wall" pre Michelle, I felt DC were better when they had the original four members and their own unique RnB sound)

TLC (Just great great music, polished well RIP Lisa Left Eye)

B*witched (I just adored them, if they reunited for a tour I'd go haha)

All Saints (Just great edgey pop with an urban lick)

I do like the likes of Sugababes, Girls Aloud, Pussycat Dolls and The Saturdays but tbh you cant beat the above 5 girlbands more their memorable impact

I love girl bands

Girls Aloud are my all time favourite, followed by Spice Girls and Sugababes.

Frank were amazing too, they released probably my favourite girl band album of all time, although I doubt anyone even knows who they are

And I also really like The Saturdays, TLC, Pussycat Dolls, Destiny's Child, Mini Viva, Dolly Rockers and Monrose.

Destiny's Child, the Sugababes and Girls Aloud are the only girl groups I still listen to, but I also liked the Spice Girls and (to a lesser extent) B*witched in their heyday.

THE SPICE GIRLS!!! just amazing songs and tunes, so very uplifting and timeless! they can be criticised for not writing their own material or being too manufactured but their songs will be timeless as with their images, live performances and their music video's a very successful yet Underappreciated pop group!

Sugababes, then AND now! some modern classics uptempo songs and some gritty anthems and pure ballads, Sweet 7 is very Underappreciated album as it combines all these sounds! Heidi,Jade,Keisha,Amelle,Siobhan and Mutya! all unique voices and each great (some a prefer over others, Jade,Heidi and Mutya's voices especially!) but i want their next album to be a real cracker!

The Go Go's are classic! as are bananarama!

ad of course who doesn't love a few TLC songs.

I always thought Vanilla were quite underrated. They got quite a bit of stick for "No Way No Way", but the rest of the material was pretty strong.

I also love The Dolly Rockers & I cannot wait to hear the new material.

Spice Girls.
All Saints (im sorry never-ever is one of the best girl band song ever written, imo)

I would say girls aloud, they have released music to prove themselves, but they got exposure first of all from a tv show, and that's not really fair..

Umm, currently the saturdays, they have so much potential and have really had to fight to be where they are.

Sugababes, i wasn't a fan of v1, but i started liking v2.. But i love the newest line-up, Jades vocals are stunning and wear my kiss and about a girl are just smashes.

Compared to Girls Aloud The Saturdays have had everything handed to them on a plate

Girls Aloud had the Sarah/Javine fix scandal as soon as they made it into the band, then Cheryls ABH charge and racism accusation, their first tour manager died in a crash in their minibus, and nobody expected them to last a year. Even their manager Louis Walsh ignored their calls after the show ended so they were effectively self-managing for two albums which is unheard of. Pop acts were being dropped left, right and centre in the record industry and no-one took them seriously for years. They were hanging on by the skin of their teeth.

The Saturdays walked into a great environment for girl bands and pop, they supported Girls Aloud on tour and had their endorsement before they even put an album out, and they started picking up sponsors, deals and freebies right away. If they're having to fight to keep their career now it's because they've just run out of steam already, unfortunately.
