Oddworld Stranger's Wrath coming to PSN

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/n...ng-to-psn.html

One of the best games on the original Xbox hitting PSN with updated visuals and Move support early next year, seemingly only the 'first project' planned to boot.

Very nice

I remember oddworld, I was so disappointed when it moved from the Playstation. I don't even know if they finished their Quintology.

No they didn't.

A movie based around Oddworld, was also planned, but that seemed to have died a death.

The community is still very active though.

I love the irony with this, Oddworld started out on PlayStation and PC, then Microsoft slapped it up as an Exclusive for the original Xbox, where sadly, the games bombed and didn't sell well. And now years later Said Xbox games and being released on PC and one of them being redone for the PlayStation 3.

Apart from the dodgy difficulty settings which make some enemies pretty much impossible to capture alive on hard this was an awesome game. I cant believe I over looked this game last generation.

Munch's Odessey was absolutely dreadful, such a disapointment after the superb Abe's Exodus. We didn't find that out for a while as I refused to buy an Xbox on principle, and only relented and bought a second hand one for £26 sometime after they released the 360. I then tracked down a copy of the game which I had long wanted.
Reading that article, I see they are planning an HD version of the original game, Abe's oddysee. This is a great idea, provided they can find a way to allow save points during the game. As much as I loved this one there was no quick save option, and it was mind-numbingly hard in places, plus you had the added pressure of knowing that if you failed you'd have to start the whole level over again.

AFAIK they're remaking Abe's Odyssey again from the ground-up, rather than just HD-ifying the original.

I love Strangers Wrath, but it hates me with a passion, since December I've only registered about five and a half hours on my game save, but I've played the game A LOT more than that, I've just died A LOT.

Got the plat for this the hardest bit is having the moolah when you go to Docs retreat. Played it on hard to start with and then played on easy so i could bounty the bosses alive and get more moolah for them it's next to impossible trying to bounty them all alive on hard.
